Vehicle Detail
Hello! I have up for auction a 1983 Honda Civic 1500S of which I am the 3rd owner. Most of it's 181,000 plus miles were spent in the Dallas area where it was purchased from the Honda Dealer, then a short stint in San Antonio and now in Dripping Springs. It has NO RUST! It is a complete car with no upgrades or performance modifications. It has a "period correct" cassette player and two door speakers. Upon purchasing the car I set out to find what was making the motor miss upon acceleration. I thought it would be a quick fix, but went beyond my capabilities. I have replaced the following parts: Distributor, Cap, Rotor, Plug Wires, Plugs, Battery, Coil, Fuel Pump, Both Fuel Filters, and Muffler. None of this has fixed the problem. It has a cracked windshield, slight hail damage (about 20 dings in the hood and roof), and could use a paint job as it is faded and has a scratch in the passenger door. As a result of the damage to the passenger door, the lock does not work from the outside but locks with lever on inside. It opens and closes just fine with both inside and outside handles. It came equipped with Air Conditioning but it does not blow cold and has not been converted to the 134a. On the driver side floor the rubber part of the carpet is missing, there is a tear in the driver side seat cushion, and the outside "shoulder" seams of both seats has pulled apart (they are not torn, just need to be stitched back up). The Pirelli P400s that are on the original wheels with trim rings should be replaced as they have a Date Code of 229 (manufactured on the 22nd week of 1999). They are a bit cracked from dry rot. Remember, this is a complete car. There is nothing missing that I know of and I tried to be as thorough as I could in my describing the car's condition. I have always wanted one of these. It is the first "sport" version of the Civic produced by Honda. I just can't finish the project due to personal reasons. Thank you for checking out my listing. It will come with the owners manual, service manual, and sales brochure. I accept PayPal and Certified Check/ Money Order/ Cash as payment. Shipping is the responsibility of the new owner.
