My brother-law's 1940 Ford Deluxe four door for auction. He got tired of the old flathead and the 3 speed manual transmission. He spent alot of money and time installing a modern drivetrain and other updates in 2013. I tried to talk him out of selling, but he needs cash. The car has a current PA inspection till May 2015. He says you can drive her home. It's been driven regularly. The paint job was done the by previous owner and is still holding up with some chips, dings, bubbles, and flat spots. She's not a show car, but a solid driver. The cars is good on gas and keeps up with highway traffic without a struggle. List of 2013 updates as follows:Rebuilt 1979 302 V8 engine, rebuilt C -6 transmission (30K miles on engine & 3K miles on trans after complete rebuilds),new 2 barrel carb, new starter, new alternator, new distributor & wires, new electric fan, new 1979 Mustang radiator, new front disc brakes, new rear brakes & drums, new power booster & double master cylinder with proportioning valve, new brake residual valves,1973 Maverick rearend, Koker wide white wall tires on 15" rims, new heater/ defroster, Ford van tilt wheel steering column, new steering wheel, 1992 Chevy truck power steering, new electric 2 speed wipers, new blue dot tailights, new third stoplight license plate holder. The car has one rust though issue that will need fixed and the trunk lid striker support which is included needs replaced as shown it in pictures. The original radio in the car does not work. The driverside rear door has safety pin to insure it doesn't open when the car is in motion. You are more than welcome to come look at the car by appointment.
