Vehicle Detail

Beautiful vintage 3 cylinder 750cc triumph has sought after five speed gear box. Frame and engine numbers match. Engine runs very strong with no smoke. No real leakage to speak of. Has copper head gasket. New mushroom foot tappets are adjusted to specs. Newer spark plugs gapped. New fuel filter last season. Fresh quality synthetic transmission fluid makes shifting very smooth and a lot easier on these old British bikes. Engine has very good compression. Carburetors have been rebuilt and adjusted. Bike Idles around 800rpm (in neutral it will idle at 500rpm) New thrust bearing and conical pull rod in clutch. New clutch and throttle cables. The choke was removed when I got the bike but starts well without one. Bike needs a new battery. Bike had new points and timing adjusted last season. This model has a stock drip feed chain oiler that keeps the chain well lubed while riding. New solid state voltage regulator replaced the old zenor diode and rectifier. All lights on bike work, new lucas head lamp has hi/lo and led pilot light. Bike has no turn signals. Fork was rebuilt with new fork tubes and seals. New tapered roller bearings in neck and new wheel bearings all repacked about 2 years ago. New stainless steel master cylinder. Front and rear brakes work well. Oil cooler fins were cleaned 2 years ago. Fuel tank was professionally stripped/dipped with all paint and rust removed. Tank was lined with POR-15 tank liner with no leaks. Tank has bare metal look but is painted. Fuel petcocks were rebuilt and new rubber tank mounts. Bike has very good oil pressure as seen on aftermarket pressure gauge. New speedometer hub at wheel. New TT100 tire in front. Avon rear tire. Speedometer and tachometer both work. Horn works. The bike has a saddle bag for random stuff while running errands, it is easily removed and reinstalled. I have an extra set of new tailpipes that go with the bike. Bike has functional steering column lock with key. Overall this is a beautiful bike that runs very well. I recommend the best battery you can get as it helps the bike start in just a few kicks. This bike didn't run when I bought it and I have spent a lot of time repairing and tuning it. Its a real pleasure to ride and is pretty fast for an old bike. I'm moving and sadly I cant take it with. It isn't stock/restored but it has been put together to run. More info about triples at triplesonline.com. Most all parts for repairs were purchased from Mitch Klemph. Clear title in hand. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. Bike is in Chicago IL 60646 and will need to be picked up as the tags are expired. It will run but needs a jump start unless you replace the battery. Bike may be 1974 model, VIN should say for sure.
