Vehicle Detail
This listing is for a 1982 Honda CR480R 4-speed. I picked it up a few months ago with the intention of using it in the AMA and AHRMA cross country series. Plans have changed though, so here it is. When I got it, it was completely disassembled, the original owner (who bought it new) was going to restore it 15-20 years ago and it didn't happen. So I rescued it from his storage building. Bike has a new OEM Honda .020 overbore piston in it (89.50). I put a really nice clutch basket from my stash of parts in it, new clutch plates, new crank bearings, all seals and gaskets. Crank is still in spec. Forks are from a 1983 CR480 and have Race Tech cartridge emulators installed. Also has Boyesen dual-stage reeds, nice dent-free DG pipe and muffler, which is freshly packed but still loud as hell, new chain, chain guide, new seat cover on original foam, new OEM Honda rear shoes, wheel bearings, lever assemblies, clutch cable, grips and kill switch, original shifter, sprockets, fork boots and plastic. Plastic is scratched up but I figured new would get ruined in the woods anyway. Kickstarter is loose floppy, and jangles around some. Even so, it starts easily and runs good, no shifting issues, brakes work well, and the suspension is somewhat soft but works well for woods riding. Tires are at about 85%. Since this came from the original owner, I have the Honda Certificate of Origin, which is what you got instead of a title in 1982. Bike is used, with scratches, dents and imperfections. It's not a showpiece, and I make no claims that it is. Everything works and it's a rider. Winning the auction or when selecting Buy-it-Now, the buyer must make a non-refundable Paypal deposit of $200.00 within 48 hours of end of listing, and the balance will be due in cash within 7 days. I must make it clear that I will not ship this bike, and you need to be willing to pick it up in Northeast Ohio. There is no warranty on this bike, and is being sold as-is. I also have the bike for sale locally, and the listing could end at any time. I will offer free delivery to Mid-Ohio vintage days, as I drive a pickup and I'm going there anyway. Transaction can be completed there if you're also going.
