Please read thoroughly; car needs some work before it can be registered in NJ! Serious bidders only, high bidder wins. Car is currently located in Carteret NJ, 07008 Up for auction is my old daily driver. I'm selling it because the car has a number of repairs outstanding that I can't afford to fix right now. The car itself is in good condition and drives great, however it will not currently pass inspection because the check engine light and brake/ABS lights are currently on. The car is a smooth handling automatic all wheel drive, with great traction in winter, and plenty of power and pickup all year long. The 6 cylinder naturally aspirated engine runs great, with no turbo to worry about. Car includes spare tire with all the gear needed to change the tire (jack, lug wrench, etc), and includes an emergency tire air pump in the trunk. It's been kept up on maintenance, with the last major service at around 95,000 miles, where the timing belt was changed along with the rest of the recommended 100,000 mile maintenance. The rear brakes were replaced approx 9 months ago, and the tie rods and front brakes were replaced in January of this year. The 125000 mile maintenance has not yet been performed. Tires still have good tread. As stated some repairs are needed before you can register the car. 1. The check engine light is currently on. Last time I ran the codes it was complaining about a code P0411 (Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow Detected); it comes and goes so it could just be a flakey hose but worse case may require a new air pump. This code and any others needs to be fixed before the car will pass inspection. 2. Brake and ABS light are on; these just came on about a week ago. As I stated above both the front and rear brakes were very recently replaced, show no wear, and the brakes engage just fine. I think it's just an ABS sensor issue, but I have not had anyone look into it to verify, as I decided to sell the car at this point. 3. Airbag light is on. Fairly well known issue where the OEM connectors for the airbag in the drivers seat become loose/dirty and fail to make a proper connection. The correct fix is to cut the OEM connector and replace it entirely, but simply re-seating the connector will solve the problem for a little while. 4. Windshield wipers need repair; They don't move when engaged. You can hear the motor straining so it may be just the linkage. Cosmetic/misc. Issues 1. Bumpers are showing some wear, especially the front bumper which has some large paint chips, and some of the plastic clips securing it have snapped, so it sticks forward about an inch more than it should on the drivers side. 2. The plastic handle for the sunroof has fallen out 3. Interior is in good shape for its age but the leather is scratched and faded in some areas 4. Hood release latch is a little finicky, the spring is getting a bit old so you have to jiggle it a bit to get the hood up after hitting the release lever. 5. Transmission has some slippage going in and out of 4th gear. Doesn't become noticeable until you're driving for an hour or so.
