Up for Auction/Sale is a 1968 Dodge Charger..It is in Need of full restore.. The car has a 318 matching numbers engine and transmission and everything on the car seems to be all original.. Even the Radiator is Chrysler. I have a clear Title for the car and the build sheet and the fender tag which you will see in the pictures.. I always wanted a charger and so did my father so when we had the chance we bought it and we started the restore as soon as I got it by starting to take stuff off and boxing it up and sanding the car down to figure out everything we need to restore it.. I don't want to sell this car and my father doesn't either but I have no choice because my boat motor decided to freeze up and I am disabled and Salmon fishing is what I like to do in the summer and I want to get it back up and running and without $ that won't happen so unfortunately I have to sacrifice something to get it back up and running.. So as for the Charger when I looked it up it it has a 331 paint code which you will see on the fender tag in the pictures.. From what I read 331 means Charger Red which was a reddish orange tomato color that they only made 500 of with this color.. In 1969 they made much more with this color but was limited in 1968.. Like I said above everything seems to be all original and matching.. The only thing that the car is missing is the rear bumper.. Everything else is either still there or in boxes which you will see in the pictures.. So you won't have to buy much unless some of it has to be restored etc.. All the Glass (Windows etc) is great with no cracks .. The grill is mint and no cracks that I can see.. We were scared to take it out because we didn't want to damage it so that is reason it still isn't out yet.. There is 4 sets of tail lights but 1 set is for parts.. You only need to sets so the extra's will be nice to have.. Has 2 carbs also.. Have all trim and everything else like stated.. We fired up engine before we took it out and it ran good.. The frame is good shape but needs frame rails in the trunk area and trunk pan , floor pan , rear valance.. lower rear quarters , drivers rocker panels.. Drivers door needed some work on the bottom which my dad started to do but didn't finish yet , the other door needs some work towards the bottom but not like the drivers did.. The front of the car has surface rust here and there but astonishingly it is in good shape, most of the body work is just the rear of the car.. I am listing the car to see if I will get back what I have invested into it but if it don't sell I will part it out.. I don't want to part it out because it has so much potential and would hate to see the another charger disappear from the world :(.. Like I said don't bother trying to send low ball offers because I know what these cars and all the original parts sell for.. I seen the grill alone sell for 2-3k ... Now ad up the rest of the parts .. These cars are getting harder and harder to find with the original build sheet and fender tag also.. So if your looking for a charger that you always wanted for yourself or your kids to help you restore this is the car for you.. I will deliver the car within a range of 500 miles for the gas $ , trailer rental and $100 if you want it delivered.. My luck within the 2 hours it took to bring to my shop it was snowing so I got some snow on the car , that is why I started work right away .. So just to say again the car is sanded at the moment and all the parts are in boxes.. Which whoever is going to restore the car this will be easier for you since you just have to fix it and start puting the stuff back on and save you the work from taking it all off..
