Vehicle Detail
For Sale- 1923 Model T Ford Roadster and Delivery Box Accessory. This car came from an estate where it sat for a few years. We purchased the car and got it running again. The engine sounds good and we put the transmission through its gears and they seem to work fine. We only drove it a couple of blocks to test it because it's not insured. The body is okay but a little rough in places. There are some dents and scratches. The paint is good in some spots but is rough in other places. The paint is flaking off on the turtle deck. It appears to have been an amateur restoration done about 10 to 12 years ago with some work on it done by professionals. The delivery box accessory goes with the car and is shown sitting on the rear deck to show what it would look like on the car. The delivery box has NOT been bolted to this car yet and is currently NOT ON THE CAR. This car still needs some tuning to be a good driver. See all the pictures for details. Ask any questions before bidding. New Parts New battery . New lower radiator hoses. New ignition key and deck lid key. Features It’s generally a stock Model T Ford. Stock engine/transmission and stock rear end. The engine starts and runs well. The starter and generator both work. The upholstery was new about 10 years ago. The wood was replaced about 12 years ago. The top was new about 10 years ago. The side curtains were done about 10 years ago. The top has staining on the inside fabric. At least a couple pieces of the inside fabric have torn away exposing the burlap below. The 2 support straps are broken that go under the top (see pictures). The engine is a late 1925 with the large internal brake drums and the ears on the hogs head. It has a water pump. The radiator looks good and is holding water. It has a home-made dipstick on it. The left front tire appears to be only a few years old and has a lot of tread. The other three tires are older and have usable tread on them. The spokes in the wheels are pretty good with a couple that need tightening. The ignition is a distributor but the coil box is still on the firewall (no coils in box). The headlights and taillight work. The brake light does not work because no switch is installed. There are NO SIDELIGHTS (only the brackets are on the cowl). We have the California pink slip for it. The car is not currently registered. Delivery Box Accessory The delivery box is very old and appears to be an original from the Model T Era. We don’t know if it was made by a company or an individual craftsman. The delivery box is made of wood and metal with a soft top. It has a latching mechanism on it. The interior of the box is one open space (no shelves or drawers). The delivery box roof material has at least one tear in it. The box roof material appears to be a similar material as the Roadster top. A deposit of $500.00 through Pay-Pal is due within 2 days of end of auction. The balance is due by cashier’s check or cash in person within 2 weeks of purchase. Any check will have to wait for 10 days to clear before the car is released. No exceptions. The car can be stored outside for up to 3 weeks only from the end of auction. Any and all shipping costs are at the buyer’s expense. We will make reasonable accommodations to make the car and delivery box available to your shipper. Both must be picked up at the same time. No guarantee or warrantee is expressed or implied.
