This is believed to be one of four factory cars, however after owning it for 16 years I have not been able to prove or disprove it. It has an Alston chassis, a Dodge 440 cu. in. engine with a torqueflite trans. There is a GM rear end just for moving it around. When I purchased the vehicle I had it media blasted the taken to the body shop to be sealed and primed. The front end is fiberglass and from a 1966. In order to run A/FX in 1966, you had to have the 1966 style body, and the only thing that changed was the front fenders and hood. I have talked to a number of people who were racing back then and sent pictures of the body and chassis and they said it looked very similar to the factory cars. The car needs a restoration, but it is a plain and simple car to begin with.
