Vehicle Detail

Buy the car you've always dreamed of, that's as reliable as the new car you've always wanted! This "Modern" 1968 Chevrolet Camaro is badged as an SS 396, and looks fairly stock, but has the underpinnings of a modern car! Over $100,000 has been spent on this car to bring it to its current state! The car has been frame-off restored twice. Once in 2003, where the car was completely disassembled, and all non-driveline parts were restored, refurbished, or replaced. Most (if not all) movable, non-driveline parts were replaced or reconditioned. Car was disassembled, and all surface rust was wire-brushed to bare metal, then painted with RustMort and re-assembled. New wiring harnesses, heater core, windows, convertible top, shocks, springs, brake rotors, calipers, pads, booster etc etc etc were installed. EVERYTHING on the car was made to work. The ONLY thing on the car that currently does not work is the cigarette lighter (due to non-available part). Period. The car was partially disassembled again in 2009, and the driveline was pulled and replaced. Brand new LS2 engine, Tremec T-5 tranny, and Moser Posi rear-end were installed by world famous speed-shop Hot Rods and Custom Stuff in Escondido, CA. Frame rails were morticed into the body to combat body flex, tying the front clip to the rear axle mounts. Slide-a-link traction bars were installed to combat wheel hop for that "get up and go"! Paint was also touched up at this time. Custom Autosound sound system with Kenwood Amp, subwoofer, and 8" Dynaudio mids with separate tweeters were then installed into custom speaker enclosures in front. Aux-in, USB MP3, and iPhone attachments are built into the console! This car is truly immaculate and drives like a dream. You really must see it to appreciate all of the awesomeness it contains! On Jun-16-14 at 11:57:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I have put less than 1000 miles on this car. The odometer reads 5873 currently. The odometer arrived new in box with 5000 miles on it during the first frame-off in 2003.
