Selling my 1995 BMW 525i Sedan. I'm the 2nd owner. Bought as a car for school. Purchased it from the 1st owner through the dealer that services our other family car. Car runs and drives and shifts well. The car has high miles but these were all Freeway miles. Needs paint and driver seat repair, has a dent in the front left fender. Leather interior, sun roof. California car all it's life. Local Orange County car. Rust Free. Just has normal wear and tear. Purchased a new battery then after we had installed it, we had a new problem with the anti-theft system. The car turns on and runs well, after the new battery was put in we found out the doors were locking and kept the car from restarting. We purchased a new key and fob, from the BMW dealer but we've narrowed it down to something wrong with the anti-theft system. When the battery is disconnected and reconnected the alarm system seems to reset itself and the car turns on. But whatever we do with the key fob, the door locks and unlocks and the car doesn't seem to start. I'm selling the car so someone with any knowledge with how the anti-theft system works: it'd be an easy fix. I never drove the car, I'm going to school up north so I won't need the car. I'm selling the car as-is, it'd be a good project for somebody with more knowledge than I have about the anti-theft system.. Tan interior. Just cosmetic issues, needs cleaning.
