dmiddles Store 1977 Corvette L-82 Very stock, senior owned, Original numbers-matching car, Automatic trans, original red on red & white interior Options include: L-82 350 CI 210 HP Tilt, tele, factory alloy wheels, T-Tops, Factory Air (compressor removed, all else in place), power windows, leather seats, and more. Also includes new battery, new tires, brakes, motor rebuilt at about 20,000 miles ago, (Odometer has rolled, total miles = 144,620) have receipt, motor balanced, runs tight, no smoke, runs clean, Notice in the pictures, idle after warming up is at just over 40lbs. The paint is probably the only down side to this car. It has been repainted once back in the 80's or 90's, and has some chips and abrasions, and a slight color difference on the driver side door/front fender...see pics... Still, this car is very striking in appearance, and is so clean that it really attracts attention! History: I bought this from my 72 year old neighbor who has owned it for almost 20 years, and put very few miles on it. He is a retired mechanic, and would drive this down to the local coffee shop, kept it in dry storage, and just tinkered with it. He hurt his back and could not work on it any longer, so asked me if I could "take it on." Of course, I said yes, but I restore old BMW and Mercedes, and also do not have long-term storage, (but who could say no to a red Vette??). Prior to my neighbor buying this it was owned by a lady in Vancouver, Washington. I have misc. receipts from her from 1985-1996 when my neighbor bought it. So I have tinkered with this a bit more, done some detailing, had some great rides, and now must pass it on (I still have several more summer projects to finish!) Mechanically this car is really solid and drives out nice. I will list the following mechanical things that will need attention aside from some day doing a new paint job: * the passenger door needs adjusted up just a little to close better * the E-brake cables need tightened * the cold-idle is set too high, but after it warms up, the idle is so perfect that I have not messed with it * the tachometer doesn't work, but comes with the new chip board part to fix it * the remote light under the hood needs connected (and possibly the interior dome lights?) * original radio: cassette does not work. New still in box Retro Radio with vintage knobs comes with car, mp-3 compatible, AM-FM, (but not blue tooth) * there are probably a few other things I am forgetting to mention... overall, though, this car is ready to drive as is! (These are items that a Corvette guy might do better at than me... and my other projects are now demanding my attention) (For viewing paint issues: note in the pictures the very front, center nose where there are some scratches touched up, notice the very top rear bumper where there was some paint that chipped away and was touched up, notice the pics of the passenger door where it was opened up against something and broke away a little of the fiberglass, finally, in one or two of the pictures you can see a slight color difference between the driver door and the front drivers fender). Additional items that car comes with: service repair manual, Corvette spec book, Corvette fender cover (for working on motor), original drivers hand-book and even the Original Dealer Window Sticker!
