Vehicle Detail
As is mentioned above, this is a 2001 Hyundai Accent. It's been a great little car, but it's time for us to part ways. There are a number of minor issues with the car, and a couple of more expensive issues which is why I'm selling it as either a fixer upper or simply for parts. The car still runs just fine, though it gets a little shaky if you take it up above 70 miles per hour. As stated above, the tires and air conditioning are pretty much brand new. If you have any additional questions about the condition of the car, feel free to send me a message and I'll get with you as soon as possible. Due to the fact that the car is no longer insured, tagged, or registered, I can only offer a local pick-up. Thank you for your understanding and good luck in the bidding. On Jun-15-14 at 11:51:08 PDT, seller added the following information: This car is for parts or repair. Despite the fact that it still works and runs, it is in very poor condition and I cannot make any guarantees on how much longer it will last without repairs. As an amendment to what I have already stated, here is a little bit more information about this car. So far as I'm aware, there's nothing wrong with the engine at all. The transmission may be beginning to slip, but again, I'm not sure. The only thing that makes me think it might be the transmission is that sometimes when I'm pulling away from a stop light, but most typically when I'm taking a right turn, the car will feel like something isn't quite catching for about a second at around the 20-25 MPH mark, and then it catches and moves along just fine. The other things are the obvious crunch in the front on the driver side. Someone apparently ran into it while it was in the parking lot at my old apartment. That being said, I've noticed no problems from that incident other than that it looks like crap. Taking my car to a friend who is a mechanic, I was told that the rear axle was not looking so hot, and that something was wrong with the front right wheel and that (the front right wheel) would only make it another 5000 miles, but I drove it much farther than that and have noticed no problems (it was apparently supposed to start making some kind of loud clunking noise). As for the air conditioning. The system itself is brand new, however, due to the fact that there is some minor leak somewhere in the system, I currently have the power to it unplugged so that it doesn't burn out. I imagine that it wouldn't be a big deal to fix, though I was making it just fine with the windows down. Again, I can't state this any more clearly, this car is for parts or repair. It needs work done, and I make NO guarantees on how long it might last if you decide to drive it without doing the needed maintenance or repairs.
