Vehicle Detail
. 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible #’s matching 327 with a factory 4 Speed THIS IS AN UNRESTORED 4 SPEED CAMARO CONVERTIBLE THAT I HAVE DONE SOME WORK TO BUT HAS NEVER HAD A FULL RESTORATION. DEPENDING ON THE LEVEL CAR YOU DESIRE YOU MAY CHOOSE TO DO THAT AT SOME POINT OR ENJOY IT LIKE IT IS !!!!!! THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR IS ABOUT AS SOLID AS I’VE SEEN IN YEARS This is a really nice looking and driving ragtop. It has the Original #’s Matching 327 engine. I am told the car is a very original car including it being the original color which is the “Butternut” yellow. Any other numbers I didn’t dig into but your welcome to check for yourself. Please feel free during the listing period to come check out the car. Some improvements I I had done to the car like I had a new convertible top , pads + well liner put on last year. It has also had a repaint in a base/clear, sanded + buffed and had some misc chrome and carpet etc. done. When the New carpet was done I could see the Factory cut out in the floor for the factory shifter. Otherwise with the exception of the carpet the inside is original and still nice looking down to the original seat covers still being in it and also the dash has the original pad which shows beautiful. The complete dash looks very nice. It does need a button for the glove compartment door. I bought the car last year and am looking to put the money in other places. I drove the car on a transport plate so I didn’t register it. I will give the clear title to the new owner which was just signed and handed to me when I bought it. THE RADIAL REDLINE TIRES HAVE VERY FEW MILES ON THEM. The car runs beautiful and sounds great. no weird motor noises or smoke. It runs nice and smooth. It shifts + drives very smooth. Car also has Power Steering. The car had been stored for a number of years previous to me so it’s just had some maintenance work done to it that it needed like a brake master cylinder some brake hoses and lines. It also has New exhaust which is also done just as the original style with the transverse muffler. The brakes stop ok but I would at some time probably modernize it + change it over to disc up front to eliminate any occasional brake pull and get better stopping power. Otherwise the emergency brake works, (could use alittle tighten up adj.) the blower motor works. The AM radio is still in it but could use a nicer speaker. The wipers and horn are inop. Fuel gauge works interm. THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR IS ABOUT AS SOLID AS I’VE SEEN IN YEARS. It could use alittle cleaning up underneath and maybe some black paint under there too. The body was in pretty good shape prior to paint but did have a lower right patch panel installed behind the R/R wheel. WINNING BIDDER TO EMAIL 300. PAYPAL DEPOSIT AT AUCTION END PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING !!! Please feel free to come and check out the car. As usual selling as is . This description is mearly my opinion. Ebay offers an affordable inspection for those who can’t get to see it themselves. The miles currently show 73,624 which I can only guess has been over but maybe not as it is pretty tight on the road along with the original interior and the solid undercarriage. THIS CAR IS WELL WORTH COMING TO LOOK AT. It’s a nice little Buggy ! On Jun-28-14 at 12:08:48 PDT, seller added the following information: Thanks for the large response. I would say anyone interested in bidding come and check out the car. then you can check any numbers you want to if that's important to you. As I said in the description above the motor number is easy to see so I did check that one. Also, I have had some people come and look but as I told them ahead of time before they came I didn't think it was fair to sell the car early because I have talked to some people who have told me they don't bid until the last couple hours. I think that's the best way out of fairness. Thanks
