I purchased this vehicle in 1978 from a museum in North Carolina. At the time I was an owner of Elite RR Auto / Elite Foreign Auto in Glenview Illinois. We only repaired and restored Rolls Royce and Bentley vehicles. I started a total restoration which included, but not limited to, new Babbited bearing, new pistons, rings, valves, valve springs etc. Head restored by Earl Reynolds in Oklahoma. New clutch assembly etc. The body was stripped to bare metal (body is Aluminum, Fenders are steel) and all panels were straightened. The body was primed. There is new (1980) leather that has been damaged over the last 34 years while in storage. However the pattern is the correct duplicate of original. I have in excess of $50,000.00 invested in 1984 dollars. I will consider a partial trade for a convertible that runs, (and my current wife won't complain about.
