1952 Ford F1 (1/2 ton) pickup truck for auction. This truck has the original 215ci 101 hp. six cylinder engine. The first year for the overhead valve six. The engine is in good running condition. The truck came with a 4 speed non- syncro transmission and heavy duty rear springs which I think is some what unique. Most of the ones I've seen are 3 speed column shift. Double clutching got old real quick so I replaced the 4 speed and drive shaft with a three speed top loader that has syncro in 2nd and 3rd gear out of a 1949 F-1. This made it a joy to drive. The original 4 speed and drive shaft will be included with the truck. The interior was redone (seat covering not original). The minor rust issues the truck had were fixed with new metal. The paint is not original which I left as is. The truck has dents and dings and would need body and paint work to be pretty. I like the patina it gives the truck character . The wood bed is original except for one board which I replaced. The frame is nice. It was in primer when I got it. I painted it black. When I bought the truck 12 years ago I started doing a lot of work on it which has waned over the years due to other projects. The speedometer and other gauges need to be gone through that is not a major fix. I just got lazy. This is a clean honest mostly original truck. It has been garage kept under my watch and only run on nice days. The truck has alot of possibilities depending on what way you want to go. I thought I would never sell it but need the cash to complete other projects. This truck comes with no warranty and is sold in as is condtion. The buyer assumes all costs for shipping. I require a $100 non returnable good faith deposit within 48 hours after end of auction. The balance to be paid in cash at time of pick up. Thanks.On Jun-07-14 at 20:53:32 PDT, seller added the following information: There has been some technical questions about the gear ratio and the 4 speed transmission that is orginal to the truck. The gear ratio is either 4.92 or 3.92. The 4 speed transmission is non- syncro as previously stated, but calls to mind additional information. The trans did a back flip in the bed of my truck and is locked up and this trans also has a power take off option. Also included with the truck: Shop manual, anti- rattle door kit, speedometer driven gear, oil filter with 30 W non- detergent oil, and six volt battery tender.
