1977 R75 /7 BMW Motorcycle, black with large tank. Less than 52k miles and in original condition. This is a great bike, reliable for daily riding or longer road-trips. Relatively few R75 /7 frames were imported to the US (significant frame and breaking improvement on the /6 or /5). Available for sale in San Francisco (Bay Area); located in the city of San Francisco. This bike has been cared for and has spent most of its life in California, with low miles. Recently parked exclusively indoors and serviced regularly. The bike runs smoothly and starts-up right away with or without choke. The transmission shifts very smoothly. Shifts between gears across range of speed / rpm-s with precision; only exception is getting into 1st gear from Neutral when bike is not moving -- confirmed by my mechanic that this is very common, and I have been riding the bike with this feature since I purchased it. The original odometer appears to be still working accurately (currently reads 51,800miles); California registered and Title is clean. Original horn is wired but not working. Mileage not recorded on title by prior owner, but believed to be accurate. Some minor cosmetic work, mainly chrome pitting (muffler and handlebars), small ding on left top of fuel-tank, and renewing tank decals would make this stock bike look like new again. Mechanically close to perfect, runs and rides great. Serviced regularly by City Cycle Werkes in San Francisco since 2010; new tires, breaks, and clutch cable in 2012. New battery in 2013 and on battery tender when parked for more than a week. The original luggage rack for Krauser bags is included with the sale (bags not available), but the rack is not currently installed. Full bike cover and battery tender are also included. Available for local pick-up in San Francisco or can be delivered in the area.
