Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1972 Honda CB500 four. I am moving and need to sell. 13k original miles on it and its in pretty good shape for being 40+ years old. I do have a clear title. Just had a tune up done recently- Carburetors Just Rebuilt and Synced- Petcock just Rebuilt- Valves Adjusted- Cam Chain Tension Set- New Points Plate, Points, and Condensers- Timing Adjusted - New Uni Air Filters Installed- Jetted and tuned for Pod Air Filters- New Motion Pro Throttle Cables- New Motion Pro Fuel Line and Filters- New Spark Plugs- Brand New Battery The bike also has a custom Silver Flake metallic paint job. Clubman bars where installed a couple years ago. It has a dual 2 into 1 exhaust that sounds amazing. Front Lower Brake line was replaced with a steel braided one a year or two ago. The bike starts right up and the engine sounds great The turn signals where removed but the wiring and the switch is still there. The start button was relocated next to the ignition. Tires are in good shape. Now for the bad, its missing the side cover on the battery side. The kill switch does not work, I just use the key to turn the bike on and off. Other than that all electrical works just fine. Electric start and kick start both work. The engine sounds great but there is an issue with 4th gear in the transmission. This was a common problem on the honda cb500. All other gears work just fine and I have drove it like that since I owned it. I put a little over a 150 miles on the bike over the weekend. It sounds great going down the road and gets looks everywhere I take it. I do have a reserve on this but its much lower than the buy it now. If you have any questions just ask. I will help out with shipping, depending on how far its going it can cost anywhere from $350 on up to ship it around the country. Pictures and video where take on May 27th, they are current. On May-27-14 at 19:06:01 PDT, seller added the following information: I made a mistake when listing this. Its actually a 1973, not a 1972. When I posted it on ebay I was just looking at the vin tag on the neck of the bike which says it was built in 1972. Its was actually sold in 1973. Sorry I just got out the paperwork for the bike and was looking over it. Thanks and happy bidding.
