Vehicle Detail
Hello everybody. Today we have for sale one Ford tough 1995 F-150 ext cab 4 X 4 Eddie Bauer truck! It has the big engine option, the 351 5.8l versus the 5.0 or the 4.9 straight six. Automatic transmission and push button 4wd. Power windows/locks. Air conditioning blows ICE COLD and has absolutely zero leaks. Here's the story I know on the truck. A friend of our family is an older gentleman (87 now) and was a wholesaler. He purchased this vehicle in 2008 from an auction with the intention of making it his daily driver. He told me that it needed head gaskets because it leaked water. After paying a man to do the work for him, the guy never showed back to finish the job. I purchased the truck from the old man to help him out and hopefully do a quick flip. Well, it didn't work out that way. After getting the vehicle home I started to pull the motor to check everything. While removing the engine I found out that I was missing a TON of parts. Needless to say, I was already invested into the project so I began to purchase the missing items, along with some things I felt should be replaced anyway. The BRAND NEW parts on the truck are as follows..... Truck runs and drives great, however it needs new tires. The tires on it are from 2008 when he parked the truck. They sat for 6 years without air and have cracks, sidewall problems, and are only on the truck to lot drive it around to make it mobile. If you intend on driving this truck home, you MUST stop and get tires immediately. It probably will be fine on a dolly because the worst tires are on the front...but they are all junk in my opinion. Major cracks and damage. Like I said, the truck starts up and drives just fine. Shifts perfectly. I hear the "chunk" of the 4x4 engaging after I hit the switch. Power locks work fine. Passenger window works but drivers doesn't. The rear sliding window moves back and forth just fine. All lights work fine. When I had the motor out I decided to have it checked. The short block checked out fine by the machine shop, but the heads needed work. I had them milled and new valve seals installed. 3 exhaust and 3 intake valves needed to be replaced. I went ahead and put in a new oil pump since I had the engine out. I didn't replace the EGR valve, and of course I now have an intermittent low EGR flow CEL sometimes...comes and goes. I didn't replace the lifters because they looked fine, but now I have a tick out of one at idle. I drove the truck the other day around town for some minor chores (hauling stuff from Home Depot home, and by the time I got home it was barely noticeable. The tick goes away with the rpm's going up a hair once warmed up. I'd say after driving it some that will go away, but I make no guarantees. Maybe new lifters are in order, maybe just needs to be driven. Either way, the truck still runs great and starts right up. Currently running on back tank. The front tank is full, but it's the old stale gas and I wouldn't use it. Dual tanks in this truck. I have the title in hand and the MVR-2 form to change owners. My wife is a notary so no worries there. The title is a salvaged title. According to the old man I got it from, the previous owner didn't secure something in the bed and it slid forward. There is a dent right under the rear window and he said the window was busted in the cargo shift. Obviously the window was replaced because it's just fine and closes just fine, but apparently the cost to repair the cab dent under the window exceeded the percentage allowed so they totaled the truck. I couldn't find any damage from an accident anywhere, but I'm no expert by far. I've tried to include as many pictures from different angles as I could. If you need to see any more pictures or have any questions, please just ask and I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible. The truck is listed locally so I have the right to end the auction early before the reserve is met. LOW..LOW reserve! Basically I need to get my money in parts out of the vehicle. If you'd like to come and check out the truck, be my guest! The vehicle is located in High Point, NC. Local pickup only but I will assist and work with any shippers. Good luck and happy bidding!
