Vehicle Detail

I am the second owner of this beautiful Corvette coupe. I bought it in June of 1999 with 6,925 miles on it. I've lovingly taken care of this beauty for the past 15 years. It has always been garage kept. It has been adult owned and operated only by me. I have only babied the car. It has never, ever been abused in any way. I wanted the car to last forever, so it has been treated that way. There have never been pets or smokers inside. It has never been driven in snow. As a rule, I don't drive the car in the rain either. Though in my 15 years of ownership, I've been caught in the rain a total of 5 times. It's a nearly flawless no-rain record, but not perfect. The cleanliness of the car reflects the pristine driving conditions. After resting for the winter months, I only take it out on the roads by the end of May after the street sweeping has completed. It stays parked in the garage on the battery tender starting in November. The Corvette only has 30,536 miles on it as of today. You can see that it has been admired far more than driven. I've enjoyed washing it and overloading the red receptors in my eyeballs. It has required little maintenance over my entire ownership experience, and the car is nearly all original. The original owner installed the Mid-America CAGS 6-Speed Plug Seal Kit, to disable CAGS. I agreed with that modification, and have left it installed. You can always undo this minor modification and plug it back in if you desire. All service has been done by the Chevy dealer. Over its lifetime, the car has had regular oil changes with Mobile 1 synthetic. In 2008, the water pump started weeping so I had it replaced and the system flushed. A new belt was installed at the same time. That same summer, I removed the original Gatorback tires because they were starting to dry out. I had Kumho ECSTA SPT tires installed all around. Even though the windshield wipers don't get any significant use because I don't drive the car in the rain, I replaced the wipers because they too started to dry out. I pointed out in the section describing vehicle condition that there are two notes about the vehicle condition worth mentioning. 1) The weatherstripping material is no longer perfect. There is a small section of weatherstripping on top between the windshield and the removable top that tore the first time I removed the removable top. I have removed the tops just 3 times. I didn't replace the weatherstripping. It wasn't noticeable and wasn't a practical problem. I was gearing up to have the weatherstrip finally replaced but decided that it's time to sell the car instead. 2) There is a tiny (and I do mean tiny) oil leak. I noticed a few drops on the garage floor at the start of this season. I brought the car to the Chevy dealer to have them examine and fix it. The leak was so slight that they could not determine the source. They added dye to the oil to help diagnose. The car is in truly amazing condition otherwise. I am still in love with the Corvette, but I'm finding less and less time to drive and admire it. It needs to find a good home where it will be appreciated and cared for. Included with the car are two sets of keys (with two fobs), the original window sticker, and the GM sales brochure. The whole car is simply beautiful and is everything that you want a Corvette to be. For the sake of completeness, it should be noted that there has never been any bodywork done to the car. The fiberglass looks amazing, as does the interior. Everything functions properly. The tires and wheels are in great condition. Thanks for looking. If you need more information, please ask.
