THE GOOD: This vehicle is in very good condition for its age. It will make a very good hobby vehicle or an excellent candidate for a complete restoration. It runs great and has been checked by my mechanic and all recommended repairs have been completed. The main thing the VW needs is a new paint job to look showroom good. The floor pans are in very good condition. The interior of the car is excellent, the seats and headliner have no tears. The carpet is in very good shape. All window glass is perfect. Mileage shown above is what is showing. True mileage is unknown. The following works has been done recently. New radial tires and alignment, new brake cylinders and hoses on all four wheels, front wheel bearings replaced, one tie rod replaced, door panel replaced (have new one for other side and will install if time permits), oil and filter screen changed. THE BAD: There is some surface rust but not bad. There is rust where the running boards attach to car. Some rust on bottom of doors and inside bumpers. The dash has 3 minor splits in it. The steering wheel has splits in a couple of places. It does leak some oil from the valve covers just like almost all of these bugs. I have tried to be as honest as possible about the condition of this VW and while it is certainly not perfect, it is way above average for a 40 year old car. You are welcome to come see or have an independent inspection done before bidding.
