Up for bid 1968 Triumph TR250 2 door convertible. This was a 1-year only car so it's pretty rare. This example is fairly complete, but does NOT include the main and rear wiring harnesses, seats, dash support, tail lights, or air box. As you will see this example has a LOT of rust or lack of metal...however you want to think of it. As I understand the car sat in a garage since 1973, but not a dry garage. The frame should probably be replaced and much sheet metal will need to be repaired/replaced as well(see photos). The convertible top frame is there, but pretty rusty. The trunk floor has rust through(see pics) and the trunk lid support rod mounting location is gone. The engine bay is severely rusted (see photos). The engine is seized as well as the gearbox top cover(will not shift due to corrosion - the top cover needs to be removed in order to roll the car). Both floors will need to be replaced. Amazingly enough, the car still has the tiger striped coolant hoses. The battery box is also very solid considering the amount of rust. The scuttle vent was closed so the scuttle is in good shape...the drain tubes are there and in good shape. The inner and outer sills(rocker) are pretty solid as well. The badges are not perfect, but very presentable. The grill is a correct 1-year only TR250 grill. The doors open and close well and the gaps are good. Do not assume that you can drive the car...you can't. This is not for the faint of heart. Be prepared for a LOT of work to restore. I have a clear Ohio title in hand.
