I bought this years ago from the Herold Lemay collection. This has been stored indoors most of its life. I recently moved is out side till sold. I to many projects. The tank was removed cleaned and coated. The electric fuel pump has been replaced. Carb was professionally rebuilt. Car starts right up has a slight sticky lifter. No knocking or pinging. Compression is good. Right tail light broken. It appears to me that the mileage on the odometer is original but can not confirm due to its age. Lights and all gauges work along with fan motor. Very little rust on this car. some in the battery box, surface rust on the bottom edge of the trunk and some on the lower driver side where the door closes and fender meet. Original wood is in great shape. The original color of the car was seagull grey. There was a complete color change on the car. I can only assume some one wanted a black Caddi not gray and was painted at the dealer when new. No other paint jobs other then that. Looks like the passenger side front fender had a small dent/crease nothing serious. It also looks like the front bumper was replaced also. The bumper guards on the front are not the original ones for 38. Missing is one rim, tire and hub cap. I assume there was a flat while in storage and was left there when changed out with the spare tire. Also the air cleaner is missing. Mice had gotten into the car. Original headliner is intact and in good shape. perfect candidate for a full restorations or survivor daily driver with some work. Have clear title in my name open to inspections. This body style was only made from 38-41. Please ask questions before bidding I want to make sure everyone has a clear understanding of the shape and conditions of the car. There is also a safety inspection sticker dated 1948 on the passengers windshield. I can help with loading onto you carrier/shipper I will be listing another model 60S 1940 for sale shortly.
