1957 chevrolet pickup , 3100 shortbed big window . Built in Oakland Ca. and looks like it has always stayed in Ca. Really nice patina driver pickup . Paint is probably 30 years old and is faded , has chips etc. small bubble about the size of a silver dollar down low on the right front fender . Other than that the body is very nice , not perfect , but has a great patina look and wouldn't take much if you wanted to get it ready to paint . Glass is nice , interior is nice , uncut dash , NO 8 track player or big ratchet shifter on the floor !!! Seat was redone , bedwood looks good and original , could probably sand it and refinish it if you wanted to . Really strong rebuilt 235 with fresh rebuilt dual rochester carbs , stainless lines , Fenton intake , NOS early corvette header , new exhaust , new power steering setup running off the back of the generator , redone brass radiator , pro rebuilt aluminum new process 4 speed maual overdrive trans with new Hurst shifter and linkage , pro rebuilt 57 pass. car rear with 3:36 gearing , rebuilt driveshaft , new yoke , all new brakes and lines . People are surprised how strong it runs , dual carbs and exhaust really wake it up . New 3" dropped axle , new 3" dropped leaf springs front and rear . New shocks designed for this truck with dropped suspension . Newer chrome Daisy's with goodrich tires . All 5 lug . New battery in dropout box underneath . Engine compartment very nicely detailed as you can see . Floor looks really , really nice as do cab mounts . Looks like maybe an old repair on the cab corner in back , no big deal . One of the nicest unrestored old pickup beds I've ever seen . Lights work , amps and oil pressure gauges work , temp and gas gauge do not . Bought a new fuel sender but haven't installed it yet . Heater works . Runs super cool , I drive it all over , does 70 plus on the freeway with 1 finger on the wheel not even breathing ! Goes straight , stops well . Looks great the way it is , drives great . Just a really fun old patina driver . Not a restored flawless show truck , you could do that with this truck if you want , it's more fun like this !
