This is a 2005 3/4 ton 4x4 Duramax Diesel Suburban with an Allison auto transmission. We started with a 2005 Chevrolet 3/4 ton 4x4 Suburban that came from the great state of Texas. We used a 2003 Chevrolet 3/4 ton diesel 4x4 as the donor vehicle. This has been a spare no expense type build. I own and operate a Chevrolet Dealership and used all GM parts and our GM technicians to build this special vehicle. In the past 12 months I have replaced all (8) injectors, (8) glow plugs, the water pump, and the injector pump. People who know diesels know the expense I just went through. I also installed a 3-1/2" Rancho suspension lift, front and rear Ranch Hand heavy duty bumpers, 18" wheels and tires, Firestone rear air bags for towing, and 6 way power heated leather driver and passenger seats. I am a diesel fanatic and never understood why GM never made a factory Duramax Suburban..so I got tired of waiting and decided to build my own. Like I said, this was a spare no expense type build with dependability being most important so I could haul my family.. This Suburban looks as though it came directly from the factory. I have owned and drove this awesome Suburban daily for 2-1/2 years taking my 4 children to school on a 41 mile round trip then to the dealership. The Suburban gets around 16mpg on my daily trips around the mountains here in South Central Pennslyvannia. Vehicle has lots of power and will tow whatever you throw behind it with ease. No vibrations or rumbles and loves to cruise the high way at what ever speed you desire. This vehicle has seating for (9) full size adults. Interior options include front and rear a/c, cruise control, tilt wheel, power windows and locks, CD/ Cassette radio, and weather tech liners on the floor are located through out the entire vehicle. With the vehicle being from the south, the under side of this Suburban looks as good as the origional paint on the top side does. I Kept in heated garage through out winter and gave her a nightly bath to rinse off any traces of snow and slush. Personally, I realy do not want to sell this Suburban but, I have another project in mind and do not need two vehicles. If you have always wanted an all purpose vehicIe that has the power of a sports car and the room to haul a small village then this Suburban is for you. If you know anything about diesels, or what it would take to do this type of build, then you will realize that I have way more invested in this vehicle than the reserve I have set. My loss your gain. On Apr-22-14 at 14:30:47 PDT, seller added the following information: Vehicle reflects milage of drivetrain (engine, transmission, drive axles). Drive train had 75,000 miles prior to build. Body of vehicle had 153,700 miles prior to build. I also added a few more pictures of vehicle interior. Sorry..It is my daily driver and has some of my childrens items in the pictures. Fuel guage stops working intermitently. Never bothered repairing. I just set the trip odometer, in cause fuel guage quits, and simply refuel when I reach between 250 to 300 miles. A few optional buttons on the steering wheel quit working. The button that allows you to scroll through the vehicle trip odometer is the one that quit. Never repaired because I use the trip reset button to activate my trip odometer. All worked was performed by our GM factory trained Duramax Diesel specialist. He has over 30 years in the business and the last 20 of them he has been a part of the family here at our dealership. I have all the documentation of all the work done here at our dealership. I also have the vin number of the donor truck that we pulled the drive train out of and will present this to the winning bidder. (The donor vin number is important when taking your vehicle to any GM dealer for GM service) Like I said before in the vehicle description, I have replaced all the expensive parts in the last 12 months. Being in this business, it is typical to replace injectors, glow plugs, and or injector pumps on Duramax Diesels around 100,000 to 150,000 miles.
