Vehicle Detail
Here is an absolutely GORGEOUS example of a 1964 Chrysler 300! This is the Sports Coupe edition of this car that was equipped with the following features: 1. 383 V8 engine with 4 barrel carburetor. 2. Power steering & brakes 3. Automatic transmission 4. Bucket seats and console shift 5. Padded dash 6. Vacuum gauge performance indicator (console mounted factory option). 7. AM push button radio 8. Reclining passenger's bucket seat 9. Tilt steering wheel (very rare). This car could best be described as a Survivor original that has been treated to a mild cosmetic and mechanical restoration or "freshening up" that has kept it all stock. The car is from dry Arizona, so it is nice, straight, and rust free. I am the 3rd owner as best I can tell. It is a Survivor to the extent that it has all original sheet metal, body panels, floors, etc. that have never been cut, patched, or modified. Also has original engine and transmission, again all stock and not modified. This 300 has 98,000 original miles. At intervals between the last 5,000 and 12,000 miles miles, the following was done: 1. Engine and transmission rebuilt 2. Carburetor rebuilt 3. New radiator 4. Alternator rebuilt 5. New exhaust 6. 5 new radial tires 7. New brakes & master cylinder 8. Shocks replaced 9. Body stripped and repainted in original blue color (base/clear coat) 10. New interior kit from Legendary (complete: carpet, seat covers, door panels, headliner etc.) that duplicates stock original. 11. New electronic ignition and distributor. 12. New battery 13. New belts and hoses 14. Water pump replaced and cooling system flushed 15. Fuel pump replaced This 300 was "freshened up" to be a very reliable road and tour car. It was NOT done to be a 100 point "trailer queen". It is nicely detailed throughout, and is very reliable. I have used it as a daily driver in nice weather, and recently took it on a 450 mile tour less than a month ago, with no problems or issues at all! It is powerful, reliable, and comfortable. No mechanical issues that I have found. I have not experienced any leaks, smoking, oil burning, etc. Just a good honest old car. Only thing I know that does not work is the clock. Radio, horn, lights, wipers, vacuum gauge etc. all work fine. As I said, body is nice and straight, as are chassis and floor pans, not rusted or scaly. I have been getting 14 to 17 MPG on regular unleaded (sometimes use mid grade), so not a real gas hog either. I would not hesitate to drive this wonderful car anywhere! Here is a chance to get into the classic car hobby with a nice distinctive looking top-of-the line sporty muscle car that won't break the bank and will transport the whole family on a trip in style and comfort. This car gets attention no matter where you go! Much more unique than your everyday Ford or Chevy! These cars were virtually "Bullet Proof"! Don't miss this beauty! Please call me at 704-661-1326 with any questions. NO RESERVE!!! NO RESERVE!!! NO RESERVE!!! NO RESERVE!!! ABOUT ME: I have been a collector and enthusiast of Postwar American cars for nearly 40 years! I maintain a "rotating collection" of 6 to 10 such vehicles. Sometimes I sell one out of the collection to make way for a new arrival. I favor nice stock "Survivor" cars from the late 1950s to mid 1970s. I have been at the same location for 27 years. I am in the Charlotte, NC area, about 30 minutes from the city. Now for the rules: IMPORTANT: Please read and understand these rules BEFORE bidding. They are part of the listing terms and contract you are agreeing to when you bid. Please DO NOT bid, then try to change them later. That's not how it works. If you have questions, please ask and get answers BEFORE you bid. If you don't intend to abide by the rules, please look elsewhere. 1. Your bid is a contract! If you are the successful bidder, you are expected to pay! Please have all contingencies handled and your money in place BEFORE you bid! No retractions will be allowed, so be sure BEFORE you bid! 2. A NON-REFUNDABLE $1500 partial payment is due within 48 hours of auction's conclusion. This can be by bank wire transfer or cashiers check. Pay Pal is NOT acceptable for this. 3. Balance is due within 7 days of auction's close. This can be by bank wire transfer, cashiers check or cash in person. If you are paying balance upon pickup of car, it must be cash in person. 4. Car and title will not leave here until paid in full with cleared funds. If you are paying with ANY kind of check, it must clear MY bank before car or title will be released. No exceptions! 5. Car is sold strictly as-is at my premises with no guarantee or warranty of any kind. 6. Transportation is the buyer's responsibility. I will try to reasonably help and accommodate you any way I can, but it is still YOUR responsibility. 7. If you cannot pick up car immediately, that is fine, it can be kept for a reasonable period. However, it still must be paid for within the 7 days, and you should secure insurance as I cannot be responsible for loss or damage due to circumstances beyond my control or act of God. I will be at my out of state summer home sometime after the first of May. Car can still be picked up after that time, just let me know to make arrangements, as I have someone who can keep car and meet transporter. 9. Car is advertised locally for sale. If I find a ready buyer through that venue, I reserve the right to end auction early. Please call me at 704-661-1326 with any further questions about this. 10. If you have been an Ebay member for less than a year and/or have less than 10 feedbacks, and/or have less than a 95% rating, you MUST contact me BEFORE you bid. Failure to do this may result in my cancelling your bid and blocking you from bidding on my items. I understand that new members can be great customers, but I must talk to you first. Thanks a lot. I am sorry for all the rules, but it seems that 5% of difficult people spoil it for the 95% who are good. Thanks very much for looking! Again, please feel free to call 704-661-1326. Leave messages if no answer. Thanks for looking!
