The GOOD:This is a great example of an early GS and one could ride it anywhere, its not perfect, but it will get you there. These are robustly engineered and very simple to maintain ( unless you're doing the clutch, that's not so simple. DON'T WORRY, ITS BEEN DONE).What is really nice about this one is its the last of the GS's that use a cable clutch, the newer ones have a hydraulic system with a slave cylinder that is prone to failure.It's not a garage queen and has got some scratches and marks form being almost 20 years old and a pretty wild opalescent metallic -green paint job from one of the previous owners.The engine is strong and pulls this heavy bike around easily. Clear title in hand The Bad(ish):In the effort of full disclosure...a puff of smoke will come out when starting it on cold mornings but over 50.. no smoke.. not sure why, but thats the truth.the rear FOX shock is leaking and doesn't seem to affect anything as its not really bad.The front Shock does not leakThe ABS light is flashing but I was told this is a common issue on these bikes, and I've done noting about it.The rear seat is jerry rigged but stays in place just fine and I foo have a plate that fits in its place, but its not picturedThe rear foot pegs have been removed, but I do have them and they will be included.
