Please 'Refresh' the page if this doesn't display properly. For this eBay ad only: Use Buy It Now to buy your new M3, and this BMW wind deflector is yours for free! That makes the effective price of this car around $18,600 These are nice if you like to drive with the top down and want to talk with your passenger without shouting, or hear the radio, or not get your hair too mussed. It really cuts back on wind in the front seat. PS when you're using it, it takes up the back seat. These can go for over $400 on eBay. "The E46 M3 is becoming a car that is revered in hushed tones. Containing the S54 (making it last naturally aspirated inline six M3) the E46 M3 represents the pinnacle to more than a few BMW fans. Despite its known foibles – just adequate brakes, a finicky (optional) SMG and notable engine related maintenance needs – the E46 M3 can raise the hair on the back of necks with it's engine note alone. And with low milage cars going for $20-25k, it's increasingly attractive as a used car." - http://www.bimmerfile.com/2013/02/03/the-best-used-3-series-in-the-us/ 2003 BMW M3 Convertible6-Speed Manual Transmission VIN WBSBR93423PK00545 38K+ Miles Body Very Good Original Owner - Not a Hot Rodder! Always Garaged, Always Maintained Excellent Condition, Everything Works! BUY YOUR DREAM CONVERTIBLE JUST IN TIME FOR SUMMER! First off, me: I've been buying and selling on eBay since 1999 with 100% positive feedback. I don't do this for a living - I'm just a guy who buys and sometimes sells things here, like most of you. I'm not a car dealer or professional eBayer, etc etc. This car and me: In 2002 I'd been driving a manual transmission Honda Accord for 12 years, and wanted to upgrade. I had the opportunity to buy an M3, so I designed it on BMW's web site, paid for it, and then watched its progress over the months as it got built and shipped to Spartenburg, South Carolina (BMW's US factory). I went there and picked it up myself! So you can see how this is kind of my baby, I picked out all the options and monitored it as it was built and 'delivered' over 9 months or so. I bought this car while living in NYC, which turned out to be kind of silly because as you can see from the mileage, I rarely drove it. I kept it in a garage and took it out to visit my friends and family in New Jersey, with an occasional DC visit, and that's about it. In 2012 I moved to DC and decided to try a different car even though this one is still awesome - and that's the only reason I'm selling this car. In retrospect I kind of wish I hadn't bought the new car, this one is perfectly great and in some ways it's more fun than my new M3. If I could drive two cars I'd keep it! I've attended to all recalls, service bulletins, etc except for any listed in the last couple of years. You can plug the VIN number into BMW's web site and see what's still eligible. Information:Clean title in handClean CarFax ReportRegular maintenance performed, I have the paperwork too! Everything in the car worksAll service bulletins performed38,000+ miles (under 39k)!2003.5 model body (October 2002 Build) Convertible - I have the matching hard top, it's mint. It's NOT included in this auction. Talk to me if you want it. Naturally Aspirated, 333 HP 3.2L V6 FI DOHC 24V Engine 6 Speed manual! Carbon Black Metallic Seriously Sweet 'baseball glove' interior leather (Cinnamon Leather) Stock Engine, except I removed ('deleted') the CDV (clutch delay valve) for a true manual clutch experience. This is a common and simple modification - google "bmw e46 cdv" and look around, for more info. I kept the part, so you can put it back in if you want :-) Never been near a track.M logo BMW wheels Some road rash on the wheels (this is a used car!)Tires: Upgraded to Ultra Performance, Goodyear Eagle F1 radials. Staggered. 245/40ZR18 93Y and 275/35R18 95Y. (2005) Premium Harmon-Kardon Stereo Upgrade Stock Navigational system (DVD reader in trunk) Stock CD player behind the Nav screen, very cool Stock Rear-view mirror (but I had it refurbished to "like new" by a professional when it leaked, see below) - apparently this cool oval rear-view mirror is very hard to find these days - I love it, it's kind of retro. Hmmm maybe I'll replace it with the boring square ones and keep it instead. All lights work, all locks work, roof works, everything works!Automatic seats, driver's side lumbar support, 3 memory settings for different driver's side seat configurations.Dual heated seats Adjustable steering wheelGlove box with rechargeable removable flashlightAuto-dimming rear-view mirrorFlat tire warningAutomatic climate controlM instrument cluster, of course!Front and driver's side airbagsAnti-lock braking systemAutomatic roll-bar protectionTraction controlRemote key with trunk entry etcZone digital climate controlCruise control HARD TOP - NOT INCLUDED IN PRICE and it's in northern New Jersey so that's kind of a pain in the butt unless you're in the area; contact me if interested! This was 'loaded' so most of the goodies, auto wipers, heated seats, nav system, single loader CD player, Harmon Kardon system with extra speakers, etc... I'll be happy to add more photos, just send me what you'd like to see. Issues: Cracking on the door handles. According to my googling, this is typical for this car. You can see it in the pics. I have had the car repainted - I was driving behind a truck that had gravel bits flying off it (2005). When car was repainted BY THE DEALER with OEM paint, also had windshield replaced by the dealer (same incident, gravel bits, 2005). Minor body work behind the passenger door (I tagged a pillar in a narrow garage underneath a building). Some hard to see nicks on the hood (see pics). Some wear on the leather on the side of the driver seat, from my butt sliding into the car (true) (see pics) - the driver's seat in this car is literally around 1.5 feet off the ground or lower, and my quads are lazy apparently, so I rubbed the seat a lot. I have no idea if this is typical but I'm curious! one small tear in the leather on the inside of driver's side door, about the size of the pad of your pinky (see pics). A small tear on the back of the driver's seat, see pics. A tiny dent in the trunk, see pics. In the cold, there is a rare (once a year?) intermittent navigational bug - some kind of problem reading the CD. I have no idea why and I've forgotten about it but it does happen. If you use the nav you might want to buy an updated CD anyway, this is the original, probably dated 2002 - that might fix it permanently. When the rear-view mirror leaked it slightly pitted the console around the stick shift a bit - see photos. If you really wanted to, this is an easy part to replace and can be bought online, I can help you find the part number if you want. At some point I had to stop replacing things as I'm trying to sell the car not refurbish it 100%. (Although it's really hard for me not to.) Slight wrinkle in the rear bumper paint, see pics.Slight scrapes along a small section of the rear driver's side wheel well, difficult to notice. There's new crease or line in the back seat behind the driver -- it's not a complete tear. I'll post a photo of it later. Replaced/Repaired: Refurbushed rear-view mirror (7/2013) Replaced passenger-side front grille - the plastic tab had broken (12/2012) Replaced spark plugs (11/2012) Replaced an ignition coil, others tested fine (11/2012) Replaced Fuel Filter (11/2012) Transmission fluid replaced (10/2012) Battery (2011) Clutch replaced (2006) - I learned to drive on a manual. My first car was a manual. ALL my cars have been manual. And yet when my clutch blew out in 2006, the out-of-state BMW dealer (I was driving to DC) freaked out and decided I'd been 'dumping the clutch." That's simply bullshit. Now it's possible that the garage guys in NYC messed with the clutch or didn't drive it properly, and there was occasional bad blood between the garage guys and myself. Or it was defective somehow. Either way I do not "dump the clutch" or otherwise drive like my car like a hot-rod. As evidence of this, the dealer covered the cost of the clutch replacement. Usual 1200 mile service done at dealer Faulty alternator replaced (2011) at dealer Car comes with . . . everything it came with, as far as I recall: 2 driving keys and 1 'emergency' key. (One of the keys works perfectly, the other is intermittant, I suspect it needs a new battery - you can find people to do this online, I can help you.) All the owners' manuals. Radio card with serial number. Other, not included in auction: Matching Carbon Black Hard Top - MINT, OEM, and used maybe twice. Sitting in a basement since 2002. Goes for around $1700 on eEbay -- Not Included in Auction. This is located in Northern New Jersey and I'd be happy to arrange to sell it to you. I have an OEM (BMW-made) trickle charger for this car. This is a great way to keep the battery topped off if you don't drive all the time.
