1966 Ford Mustang Gt Coupe Exodus Muscle Cars is proud to present this 1966 Ford Mustang Gt (Real Deal). This is a two owner car that is a California car. We purchased it from the second owner who lives in Albuquerque, NM. which is a dry climate as well. It is a 289 CID A code engine with a 4 speed manual transmission, factory air conditioning, power steering, front disc brakes and the deluxe Pony interior. It has the original owners manual with the first owners info along with the aluminum plate with vin # for warranty purposes. The second owner had it sevens years until our purchase of it. The car has the correct holes in the radiator support for the driving light wires, has the correct sway bar, front disc brakes, has new front coil springs but the old ones come with car the and are correct for a GT, correct instruments, dual exhaust through rear valance, and exhaust tabs under rear seat, no rocker mouldings, correct emblems, and wheel covers. It has a fresh 1 year old repaint back to Vintage Burgundy. The body work is nice and straight and the paint is a base coat clear coat finish that has been color sanded and polished out nicely. It has finned aluminum Ford valve covers and chrome air cleaner which are not original and did not come with the originals. We have the original wheel covers to the car but not the steel wheels. The front aprons are straight, undamaged and clean. The floors are very solid, the sheet metal appears to be all original to the car. The under carriage is original and driver quality, it has never been cleaned or painted on so no hidden patch work. The under carriage could be steamed and detailed out nicely with minimal effort and cost. The inside of the trunk is original paint and under coat on the inside of the quarter panels and show no signs of being repaired. The underside of the hood, deck lid, and door jambs were painted at the same time as the exterior. New rubber seals and gaskets were installed at this time. This little Pony car runs and drives out wonderfully. It has great acceleration, the 4 speed shifts well, steers tight and brakes well. The color combo really pops together. The burgundy exterior with the white lower GT stripes and the parchment interior is very classic. The A/C has not been converted to R134 and does not get cold. The rear reverse lights do not work as well. Even though the mileage is believed to be accurate it will be sold as mileage exempt due to year model.
