Vehicle Detail
2002 Camaro SS 35th Anniversary LE Limited Edition. This is a 3 owner car that has been babied by Camaro Fanatics. The car is a Z4C LE car with only 34k original miles. The car has received 2 coats of Zaino quarterly since new. The body and paint are completely flawless with the exception of 2 chips in the stripes on the front of the car. I just got back from driving the car from Atlanta to Orlando for the Classic Chevy Winter nationals in February. It was a very nice drive. The car scored 988 out of 1000 possible points and was awarded a platinum certificate. The interior is very close to flawless with the only signs that it is not new being the slight wrinkles in the leather on the drivers side seat. The leather is still very soft on all the seats. The back seat has never been sat in. The LE floor mats might as well be brand new since they have are only installed at car shows. The LE rear deck mat is perfect. The LE portfolio with all the goodies still in their plastic is included as well. The car has some very tasteful modifications that simply make it even better. The only exterior modifications are the Billet Boyd Coddington wheels. The wheels are very nice and really set off the looks of the car. They are 17x9 in the front and 17x12 in the rear. The offset is perfect and there is no scrubbing. On the inside, the only modification is the instrument cluster face. It really looks nice in the day time and at night. It is a high quality full face kit that was professionally installed. The performance modifications are where this car really stands out. All modifications were professionally installed and chosen for drivability first and performance second. The car is VERY smooth and easy to drive. The engine is still completely stock inside with no base engine modifications. The engine has ARH stainless long tube headers with high flow converters and Y-pipe. After the y-pipe the exhaust exits out of a Corsa Cat back and through GMMG style oval tips. The exhaust sounds AMAZING. It is whisper quiet on the highway and has a nice rumble under light acceleration. The nice rumble turns into the most beautiful scream once you open the throttle past half. It gets downright nasty at wide open throttle. It is in my opinion the perfect balance of sound and drivability. Anyone who has had a car with loud exhaust knows how quickly the interior drone gets old. There is absolutely zero interior drone. The 6 Speed Transmission has a Hurst Short Throw Shifter with a short stick and Black ball shifter. It is super tight and shifts perfectly. The clutch is nice and catches right where it should. The car also has an SLP lid with SLP MAF sensor and smooth bellows installed. The car was professionally dyno tuned by MTI racing in Marietta GA. The car made 376 RWHP after the tune. This equals just under 450 flywheel HP. The power is very smooth and strong and best of all reliable and with perfect drivability. The suspension also has some very nice improvements over stock. The car has Bilstein Struts front and back with Eibach springs. It also has Spohn front and rear sway bars, Panhard bar, panhard locater bar (to clear the exhaust without any rattles) and UMI 3 point subframe connectors. I chose to not install control arms or torque arm since they tend to be noisy. With the combination of the suspension improvements and the wheels and tires, the car is simply glued to the road while still maintaining a slightly firmer than stock ride. The car is still very comfortable to drive. This car was built using only the best of components chosen after years of building show winning 4th gen Camaros. This car is as good as a 4th gen Camaro gets. All of the parts combine to make it a very fast but reliable and comfortable car. For the people that like lists, here is a list of all Aftermarket parts on the car: Boyd Coddington 17x9 and 17x12 Billet Wheels with brand new Nitto tires.SLP Front GrilleARH Stainless Headers with high flow converters and Y-pipe.Corsa Cat back with GMMG style oval tips.Hurst Short Throw Shifter with black shift ball.SLP Air lidSLP MAF SensorSLP Smooth BellowsK&N Stainless bolts under the hood Corvette Fuel Rail CoversBillet caps and Misc. under hood dress up stuff.SLP Tuned Bilstein shocks and strutsEibach springsSpohn Front and rear sway barsSpohn Panhard barSpohn Panhard bar locater (eliminates exhaust rattles)UMI 3 point Subframe Connectors I am sure there are a few things I forgot to mention.
