I have an Original Datsun 620 Lil Hustler pickup in Survivor condition. I am the third owner of this little gem. I rescued it from a barn that had been on a ranch here in Northern California where it had sat for many years. Washed the dust off aired the tires up filled her up with fresh gas, changed the oil and after a few pumps of the go pedal, she fired right up. Now I think that it does need a tune up, she runs good but I think with a tune up she could run awesome. There is a small hole in the factory exhaust.The Datsun still retains all of the factory equipment under the hood and is as it was installed in 1976. The charm of this lil hustler keeps going with a quaint little four speed and a shift knob that resembles some of the signal levers in cars of today. The transmission works as it should as does the clutch with no slips or grinds.I have replaced some of the brake components such as the master cylinder, shoes, wheel cylinders, drums and they are all in good nick but they need to be bled and adjusted and as I am getting less and less able to work on my ol' girl I cannot do this any longer, so the new owner will need to address these things before driving it to far.While I had it stored someone decided to brake in and try to steel the stock radio and busted up some of the dash bezel all while not removing the radio completely, so it is still in the dash.As with vehicle that have sat for a while it will need to be gone through just the same. I can tell you that the park lights, brake lights and back up lights all work but for some reason the headlights are not coming on, could be that they are original and have given up the ghost.The body on this fine specimine is in pretty good shape with just a few small dents/dings and only surface rust on the outside and the floors. The floors are very solid. There is one spot under the battery that needs repair as this is a common on this vehicle.The wheels are original and the wheel caps and rings are NOS, from a local dealer here that had them in their lost inventory, Good for me! and the new owner as there is zero rust on them.Tires have plenty of tread and are white walls on the inside. It even retains its factory mud flaps that say Datsun as well as a license frame on the rear of the truck, where it was put when new from the local dealership that it was purchased from. This is an original California vehicle that has spent its life in Northern California where it remains today.I have an original rear bumper for it that I will include. This truck is on current non op with the DMV and has no back fees if purchasing for California residents and the new registration is only 82.00.
