6.6L car with 3-speed automatic transmission. 66,000 actual mile car that has received a full mechanical restoration. The car retains all of its originality that Pontiac intended, however the engine, transmission/, rear end and brakes have been upgraded over stock for the purpose of road rallying. The engine is now 461cid, polished and ported high flow heads, custom grind cam, super duty 800 CFM carburetor, the transmission is also upgraded. The brakes have benefited from a rear disc conversion and the suspension has been set up to Herb Adam's specifications. Interior is stock with the exception of a Valentine One radar detector and a period Cobra CB with trunk mounted whip, car retains its factory air conditioning. All work was carried out by Gas Monkey Garage in Texas. The only external visual modification is the use of a 1972 Trans Am functional shaker to increase air flow. Car has factory T-tops and retains original Hurst bag in the trunk next to matching 5th Rally II. Car is factory Ziebart car, so it has survived superbly. This car was used the official Bull Run Rally 2007 from Montreal to Key West. It was then taken to Europe by its owner and placed in his car collection in London. The car was then purchased and sent back to the states where it was stripped down to bare metal, sealed and painted with high quality PPG Starlight Black paint. The factory Rally II wheels in perfect condition were removed and a brand new set of 16" Cragger SS wheels with new tires were installed. The only other thing changed is an OEM black steering wheel was put in place of the factory red one. The car will come with either set of rims. They went through the car top to bottom and found no issues with the car, after inspection the lead mechanic estimated between 450-500 HP from the motor.
