Vehicle Detail
Rare find. This antique pickup truck was bought from a fire department in California. The truck still has the switches for it's lights and you can see where the fire truck emblem was on the doors. The engine is V8 and I believe is 360cc (whatever that means). The engine is still strong and runs great. The breaks need work and probably some other tweaks here and there. The clutch is good and so is the transmission. Everything seems to function on the truck just fine. A friend of mine gave it to me and I'm selling it. I don't have a need for an old truck but I know some people would love it. I have seen them fixed up for $16,000. If you have any questions, please contact me. The reason this truck has a salvage title is not due to a wreck. It was salvaged from the Fire Department due to the holes from their lights etc. They considered it body damage. I will post a Youtube video here shortly so you can see it cruising down the highway and through my neighborhood. Also, if you are in California (This truck is in Carmichael California) you do not have to smog this truck! On Mar-14-14 at 02:02:45 PDT, seller added the following information: http://youtu.be/Ym81PqmK0KoOn Mar-14-14 at 02:09:32 PDT, seller added the following information: I couldn't figure out how to insert a YouTube video. Just copy the this link and paste in your address bar. http://youtu.be/Ym81PqmK0Ko I forgot to mention the truck does use oil and there is an oil leak that will need to be fixed. I drove it 50 miles yesterday but didn't need to add any oil. Not sure how often you will need add more. On Mar-14-14 at 02:15:18 PDT, seller added the following information: Also, the odometer reads 29k miles but has no room to show whether it's 29, 129, 229 etc... I would assume it exceeds mechanical limits. On Mar-15-14 at 17:14:02 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had a couple of questions: 1. It has power steering that works.2. No rust anywhere on the body of the truck. Just rusty color on the undercarriage in places. 3. Tires have a lot of tread. Not sure about age or dry rot but they look fine. On Mar-15-14 at 23:46:18 PDT, seller added the following information: I was asked about where the 4 wheel drive linkage was cut. I asked the previous owner and he said that he thinks it's just missing from the 4x4 shifter to the transfer case. On Mar-16-14 at 15:09:42 PDT, seller added the following information: Click here to see Nada's value assessment of this truck. They say it's worth at least $4,300 in fair condition. On Mar-21-14 at 12:04:33 PDT, seller added the following information: The truck will need registration but no back fees. It has been on Non Op for awhile now and everything is up to date.
