RELISTED DUE TO PREVIOUS BUYER COULD NOT LIVE WITH THE FACT THAT THE ORIGINAL TRANSMISSION MUST HAVE BEEN SWAPPED OUT AT ONE TIME AND BASED ON THE CODES, HE SAID ITS OUT OF A DIFFERENT YEAR CAR. WE DID CONFIRM THE BLOCK IS THE MATCHING VIN TO THE CAR WHICH TO ME MEANT MATCHING NUMBERS BUT APPARENTLY THAT WAS NOT ENOUGH. HE WAS ALSO CERTAIN THAT THE 12 BOLT WAS NOT ORIGINAL BUT REARS ARE NOT VIN STAMPED. HE STATED THESE CAR'S CAME WITH A 10 BOLT ONLY AND EVEN DISPUTED THE FACT THAT I COULD NOT COUNT. WELL, IF I DIDNT TAKE ANYTHING ELSE FROM GRADE SCHOOL AT LEAST I AM CERTAIN I CAN COUNT TO 10; SO I COUNTED THE BOLTS AROUND THE PUMPIN COVER AND WHEN I GOT TO 10 I HAD A COUPLE MORE TO GO-ITS A 12 BOLT. WITH THAT BEING SAID, I AM NOT GOING TO BE HELD TO WHAT RATIO IT IS OR IF ITS A POSI OR NOT ONLY SINCE WHEN I DID JACK THE CAR UP DURING THE LAST AUCTION IT WAS DURING THE DEAD OF WINTER, AT NIGHT/AFTERWORK AND I WAS BY MYSELF TRYING TO COUNT THE PINION REVOLUTIONS WHILE SPINNING THE BACK WHEELS-I GAVE UP AND HAVENT JACKED THE CAR UP SINCE. I CANNOT BELIEVE WITH ALL THE 454 CHEVELLES, 455 GS'S, AND 455 GTO'S RUNNING AROUND WITH 12 BOLT REARS THAT OLDSMOBILE DIDNT HAVE A 12 BOLT OPTION BEHIND THEIR ULTRA RARE 455'S TOO. SPEAKING OF WHICH, THIS CAR IS 1 OF 95 455 4-SPDS AND A 19-19 CODE CAR TOO BOOT WHICH IS BLACK ON BLACK (BLACK HARDTOP). OLDSMOBILE DIDNT MAKE TOO MANY BLACK ON BLACK 73 455 4-SP 442'S TO BEGIN WITH AND NOW WONDER HOW MANY ARE LEFT. I PUT THE GRILLS IN TO TAKE THE PICS AND PUT THEM BACK IN THE BOX; HAVE TWO SETS. ALSO FROM PREVIOUS INQUIRES, THE DASH HAS THE BACK UP(?) LIGHT ON TOP OF THE DASH AND THE DASH IS ACTUALLY IN GOOD SHAPE/NOT CRACKED/BUT BEGINNING TO CURL UP ON THE ENDS. FLOORS AND TRUNK ARE GREAT-EMPTIED AND TOOK ADDITIONAL PICS. HAVE TONS OF EXTRA AND NEW PARTS INCLUDED SHADED GLASS. ALL GOES WITH THE CAR. SELLING BECAUSE I BOUGHT ANOTHER HOUSE AND AM MOVING. IF I HAVE TO MOVE IT, THEN I MOST LIKELY WILL CONTINUE PUTTING IT TOGETHER AND KEEPING. WILL NOT SELL TO ANYONE OUTSIDE OF THE COUNTRY. DONT ASK. NO SCAMMERS. NO BS. I PREVIOUSLY WROTE DURING THE 1ST AUCTION: MATCHING BLOCK#'S 455; 4-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION, 12-BOLT WITH 64K MILES ON IT. REBUILT WITH .030 OVER 10K MILES AGO BUT PREVIOUS OWNER DID NOT RETORQUE ANYTHING AND BLEW A HEAD GASKET. CAR SAT TILL NOW. ONLY ONE CYLINDER SLIGHTLY WATER STAINED; SHOULD HONE OUT. HAD HEADS CHECKED/REBUILT BY NAPA, HAVE NEW RING SET. HAVE ALL PARTS INCLUDING TONS OF EXTRA PARTS. OEM 442 HOOD INCLUDED SINCE PREVIOUS OWNER CUT UP THE ORIGINAL HOOD AND ADDED A HOOD SCOOP. HAVE ALL PARTS INCLUDING NEW CARPET, HAVE HALF QTR PANELS, AND ANOTHER SET OF GRILL INSERTS; ALSO HAVE ALL THE CHROME TRIM. PREVIOUS OWNER REBUILT THE FRONT END WITH NEW SPRINGS/BALL JOINTS/TIE RODS. PREVIOUS OWNER PULLED ENGINE, REMOVED THE NOSE, AND TOOK OUT THE SEATS IN ORDER TO PUT IN THE NEW CARPET AND DID NOTHING WITH THE CAR OTHER THAN LET IT SIT IN PIECES IN INDOOR STORAGE UNIT. I HAVE PUT THE NOSE ON AND TOOK THE HEADS OFF TO SEE HOW BAD ENGINE IS. ONLY ONE CYLINDER HAD A WATER SITTING IN IT AND IT TARNISHED THE CYLINDER WHICH WILL CLEAN UP BY HONING. REST OF ENGINE GOOD SHAPE. SHOULD TOTALLY DISASSEMBLE ENGINE AND CLEAN IT PRIOR TO CLOSING IT BACK UP. PREVIOUS ONWER BOUGHT 2 SETS OF FRONT FENDERS, ANOTHER 442 TRUNK LID, INSTALLED BUCKET SEAT COVERS, ALONG WITH NUMEROUS NEW PARTS. HAVE MOST PARTS TO PUT TOGETHER. THE ONLYH PART I SEE NOT INCLUDED IS MAYBE A LOWER VALANCE PAN THAT RUNS UNDER THE GRILLS. ALSO HAVE 2 SETS OF GRILLS IN GREAT SHAPE. THE PREVIOUS ONWER JUST STOCK PILED ADDL PARTS BUT NEVER FINISHED PUTTING CAR BACK TOGETHER DUE TO PERSONAL REASONS. ASK AND I WILL LOOK TO FIND YOU THE ANSWERS.
