I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehilce is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Also, please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or making an offer. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for your consideration today is a very rare 1982 Dodge 400 Coupe. The Dodge 400 was made off of the K platform...which was credited for saving the Chrysler Corporation in the 80's. Although nobody thought of these as collector cars when they were new, they are quickly approaching collector status as there are very few of these left. I was personally amazed at the amount of online support offered for these automobiles...there is a club (www.chryslerkcar.com) which is very active in the support, restoration and preservation of these cars. According to their data, the early hard top cars (sedan and coupe) are among the rarest...with a scarce 431 of these (total of Dodge 400 sedans and coupes)estimated to be left on the road. This example appears to be an original survivor with 72,000 original miles in nearly mint original condition. It is finished in Ivory with a dark brown landeau top and matching interior. As with any old vehicle, please expect to find exterior imperfections commensurate with an original 30 year old automobile. There is no noteworthy damage to report on the exterior. The landeau roof is soft and in perfect condition. All of the chrome trim and emblems show well from front to back. The original wire wheel covers also show well. The last registered owner of this vehicle was a 72 year old lady from Hagerstown, MD and it shows. All of the glass and lenses are intact. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to appreciate how nice this car is. I would rate the interior of this Dodge 400 to be in excellent condition. As you can see, the interior is immaculate. The door panels are clean and tight with all the buttons and accessories intact. The carpets are thick and plush throughout the cabin. The dash and rear deck are in perfect condition (no fading, not cracked or dried out) which indicates that this 400 has spent most of its life in a garage. The most significant feature of this car is the soft leather interior which, according to my research, wasn't even available in the 400. The dark brown leather interior features high back bucket seats and a soft rear bench seat, all of which are in perfect condition. The brushed alluminum trim is nearly flawless throughout the interior. The power windows both work. The power locks work. The power seat even still works. The stereo is the original AM/FM 8 Track which powers up and sounds good. The climate control system is fully automatic and works properly. The only thing that doesn't work is the air conditioner. The trunk is spacious, clean and still smells new. Mechanically, this Dodge 400 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.6L Mitsubishi silent shaft engine starts easily and runs well. I did not see any leaks. The suspension feels nice and tight. The steering feels neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this Dodge 400 with no issues. Her road manners are excellent. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. I've got nothing bad to say about this car. With so few of these left on the road, an original one in this condition is next to impossible to find. This Dodge 400 has been in my personal collection of cars but I am making room for a new acquisition and a few of my personal cars have to go to this spring to make room for a new toy. I hope that it will go to someone who is enthusiastic about these cars and will preserve it. If you consider the rare interior, low miles and original condition...there is probably only one or two others comparable to this Dodge 400 in the country. Thanks for your consideration. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehilce is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Also, please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or making an offer. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for your consideration today is a very rare 1982 Dodge 400 Coupe. The Dodge 400 was made off of the K platform...which was credited for saving the Chrysler Corporation in the 80's. Although nobody thought of these as collector cars when they were new, they are quickly approaching collector status as there are very few of these left. I was personally amazed at the amount of online support offered for these automobiles...there is a club (www.chryslerkcar.com) which is very active in the support, restoration and preservation of these cars. According to their data, the early hard top cars (sedan and coupe) are among the rarest...with a scarce 431 of these (total of Dodge 400 sedans and coupes)estimated to be left on the road.
This example appears to be an original survivor with 72,000 original miles in nearly mint original condition. It is finished in Ivory with a dark brown landeau top and matching interior. As with any old vehicle, please expect to find exterior imperfections commensurate with an original 30 year old automobile. There is no noteworthy damage to report on the exterior. The landeau roof is soft and in perfect condition. All of the chrome trim and emblems show well from front to back. The original wire wheel covers also show well. The last registered owner of this vehicle was a 72 year old lady from Hagerstown, MD and it shows. All of the glass and lenses are intact. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to appreciate how nice this car is.
I would rate the interior of this Dodge 400 to be in excellent condition. As you can see, the interior is immaculate. The door panels are clean and tight with all the buttons and accessories intact. The carpets are thick and plush throughout the cabin. The dash and rear deck are in perfect condition (no fading, not cracked or dried out) which indicates that this 400 has spent most of its life in a garage. The most significant feature of this car is the soft leather interior which, according to my research, wasn't even available in the 400. The dark brown leather interior features high back bucket seats and a soft rear bench seat, all of which are in perfect condition. The brushed alluminum trim is nearly flawless throughout the interior. The power windows both work. The power locks work. The power seat even still works. The stereo is the original AM/FM 8 Track which powers up and sounds good. The climate control system is fully automatic and works properly. The only thing that doesn't work is the air conditioner. The trunk is spacious, clean and still smells new.
Mechanically, this Dodge 400 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.6L Mitsubishi silent shaft engine starts easily and runs well. I did not see any leaks. The suspension feels nice and tight. The steering feels neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this Dodge 400 with no issues. Her road manners are excellent. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. I've got nothing bad to say about this car. With so few of these left on the road, an original one in this condition is next to impossible to find. This Dodge 400 has been in my personal collection of cars but I am making room for a new acquisition and a few of my personal cars have to go to this spring to make room for a new toy. I hope that it will go to someone who is enthusiastic about these cars and will preserve it. If you consider the rare interior, low miles and original condition...there is probably only one or two others comparable to this Dodge 400 in the country. Thanks for your consideration.

Winning Bidders:

Full payment is due within 7 day of the auction's end. The prefferred method is to bring cash in person to complete the sale. If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will be having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.
PayPal is not an accepted payment method. This includes Bill Me Later.
We cannot accept credit cards or personal checks.
Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.
For out-of-state buyer we can issue a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $39 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance.
