Vehicle Detail

Here I have a 1967 MGB Tourer. It is Mineral blue with tan interior. I bought the car a week ago to either finish the restoration or sell it. I have decided to sell. As you could guess, I don't know a lot about the car. This is what I know. The guy before me worked on it for 6 years before getting tired of it. He never told me why he was tired of it but I may have found something. He installed a later model O/D transmission in the car but it doesn't match up with the starter and it won't work. I have the original 3 syncro. transmission to put back in it. The car is not running at this time, but after swapping the trans., I see no reason it wouldn't. This guy did a ton of work to this car. He had to have lost a lot of money on it for what I paid him. Here is what is new or rebuilt. The whole suspension has been rebuilt with red urethane bushings and looks great. The car has no, zero rust. He cut out and replaced all rusty parts including the lower fenders, sills, floors. The paint on the car is very bad and will need to be repainted. The doors and trunk need to be adjusted also. The car has a brand new Tan interior. I believe it is from Moss Motors. A new top, new exhaust, new wiring harness and countless other small items replaced. Almost all nuts and bolts underneath with stainless. Like I said, it has a later 4 syncro. trans but I have the original. The motor is the correct 18GB model, original to the car, I can't say but I would bet it is. The car is showing 69,000 miles on it. The gauges are all there as is all the sundries that is needed to finish car. It will need new carpet. The glass is good and the windshield is complete. This will be an easy finish on this car. Swap the trans, finish the interior, and sand, adjust and paint, WHAM, a nice MGB,. The car comes with a title from Kentucky, however in Alabama, no title for a car this old. I am in Trussville, Al. which is near Birmingham. I will answer all questions, either e-mail or phone me. Bill @ 205-288-7142. By the way, I forgot to mention that all the brakes have been gone thru. Wheel cylinders, calipers, lines, shoes etc. On Mar-04-14 at 12:18:16 PST, seller added the following information: I had a guy call me today and ask if everything is there to finish the car? Yes. Everything but the carpet. It had black carpet and I don't have it now. It was rough. I did keep some that was good but not enough to finish car. Thanks, Bill
