Vehicle Detail
I have done a lot of work to the car and have enjoyed this project. The car has taken me away from things that I need to get back to, so reluctantly I am selling it. As it is, this 45 year old classic car can be used as a daily driver or a great car for that person looking for a good working project car. There is a 62191 miles on the odometer. The engine runs good. It has had a recent tune-up, new Fuel Pump, New Aluminum Radiator, Shroud, and four blade Fan. Complete brake system overhaul including new front calipers rebuild and brake pads. Windshield wipers are working. All gauges work except the clock. There are some rub marks and chips in the paint. There are no dents or rust on the body. A new paint job is needed. Soft top is in good shape. Currently it is not installed on the frame and needs to be reinstalled by a professional installer. The car has both Front and back bumpers with bumper guards. The passenger door has issues closing. It will latch closed but can be pulled back out about a ½ inch. I replaced the Striker Plate and Door Latch in an effort to fix the problem. The door probably needs to be adjusted at the hinges. The interior has the correct 1969 steering wheel, seats reupholstered with correct Fairlady Roadster 68 - 70 Diamond Pattern Vinyl Seat Covers with new three point Seat Belts. New Carpet including the trunk compartment. When I replaced the carpet the floorboards were sound and had only surface rust. I wire brushed, sanded, used Naval Jelly, primed, and painted before putting in the new carpet New AM/FM Stereo with Bluetooth and USB. I built a new forward center console so I could mount a modern radio and mounted new speakers on the interior rear panel. I have the original console and radio. The glove box interior, rubber brake, clutch, and foot rest rubber pedals are new. I have the sun visors but they are not installed because they need to be reupholstered. The reserve is lower than the “buy it now” price.
