Spring is not too far away,so lets get ready with something very special!You are bidding on a fairly rare MZ 1000S that I am placing up for auction.This bike is in excellent overall condition,with only 2,300 original miles,and far from even broken in.From what I have read,there were approximately 30 of these imported into the US over the years,and not something that you will run into very often,as you are out putting her through her paces.Here are the details: I purchased this bike from the second owner about four months ago,who was thinning out his stable,and I brought her up from sunny Florida(the first pics are from Florida),to the colds of western PA.(the last few pics).The reality is,I'm primarily into big singles,and this bike is a bit much for my riding style.At 114 HP,and 72 ft. lbs. of torque @ 7500 rpm,she needs to be in the hands of someone who can handle her.Six speed cassette transmission is geared for the top end.All top rate components including Nissan brakes,Marzocchi adjustable forks,and an adjustable Sachs rear shock that help give this bike top notch handling.Designated as a "sports tourer",she can rack up the miles all day long,as well as provide lots of fun through the twisties!The fit & finish are truly up to German standards,and there is nothing this bike needs other than someone to put the miles on her.The bike is totally stock with no modifications whatsoever.A steal at $4999.99,as these were priced at $12K new,and you could spend more on a Chinese import!You can also shoot me your "Best Offer" if so inclined.There are aftermarket exhausts & Power Commanders available for this bike on eBay,if the stock setup is not enough for you. Parts are readily available through Grahams Motorcycles in the UK,as they are the world wide distributor for MZ parts.I have ordered parts from them over the years for my MZ singles,and Ian usually gets them to me within a week.Alot of the consumables such as oil filters(BMW equivalent) & spark plugs are readily available in the US.Many of the forums out there list owners racking up 35-45,000 miles without a valve adjustment,let alone anything major. Everything on the bike works as it should,with no issues.There are a few nicks in the front of the gas tank from the previous owner using a tank bag,but these will easily touch up,or I will include a brand new black tank striping decal as used on the MZ 1000SFX which I obtained.No other cosmetic or mechanical issues.Clear title included,as well as bill of sale.If serious,feel free to call me on my cell @ (412)558-9154 to ask any questions.
