1980 Suzuki GS450 Motorcycle Bike Project Repair Parts (No Title) 4,082 Low Miles L@@K ! This Bike was left for a bad debt and never re-claimed. It has been stored in a dry garage since 1985. The storage fees are more than the bike was worth new. The owner wrecked it and never attempted to repair it. You can see the damage to the left side (faring, ignition cover, fender). The key fits a spare gas cap, but not the gas cap on the bike or the ignition. The seat has some punctures in it. The tank has two dents and the decals should be replaced. The rear turn signals are gone. There is no battery. You can tell from the pics the overall condition of the bike. If you part it out, you could possibly triple your money. A mechanic I know told me it could be titled and repaired easily enough. Parts are well supported in the aftermarket. Included are the used parts I bought : 1. A spare gas cap with key 2. An ignition with key 3. Pickup coils and mechanical advance. 4. Clymer Manual I decided not to finish the project and to sell it as is. If you need a winter project this may be for you. SPECIFICATIONS: Engine: two-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke, two valves per cylinder, shim-over-bucket adjusters. Chain drive. Suspension: Twin-shock rear w/5 preload adjustments, no front suspension adjustments, wheels front/rear 18"/18"(S) and 19"/16"(L), front single-disk single-piston disk brake, rear drum brake weight: About 380 lbs * Gas mileage: 55-70 mpg Description: The S and L models, as well as the E (standard) and T (tour) models, all shared the same basic engine and frame layout. Major differences were cosmetic and ergonomic. The S model was Italian red but styled suspiciously like the then-popular BMW R90S, with rounded 1/4 cafe fairing, squarish gas tank, low handlebars, and boat-tail rear bodywork. The black L model was popped from the Japanese cruiser mold, with teardrop tank, apehanger handlebars, stepped bucket seat, and a touch more chrome. Students of oddities will be happy to know about the GS450GA, a shaft-drive, automatic-transmission version of the L model; it was only produced for a few years.
