My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This Grand Cherokee has the Limited trim package which is the highest options package available (except for a few special edition models offered here and there). This Jeep has a very desirable group of options that are rather hard to find all together. In addition to being a Grand Cherokee Limited, this Grand Cherokee has the desirable 4.0L inline six cylinder engine...which is not very common as most Grand Cherokee Limited's had the 5.2L V8. Even more uncommon is that this Grand Cherokee Limited has the 4.0L engine AND the Select-Trac part time 4WD transfer case which is far more desirable than the Quadra-Trac full time 4WD transfer case which came with most Grand Cherokee Limiteds. I would rate the exterior of this Jeep to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a great looking Jeep. It is finished in Plum with gold accents and tan interior which is a gorgeous color combination. From the second you see this Jeep, it is obvious that her previous owners took great care of her. The deep Plum finish looks great and has a mile deep shine all around. Aside from a few blemishes on the bumpers, there is really nothing bad to say about this Jeep's exterior...considering the miles. There is some visible rust at the bottom of the tail gate which is common as these vehicles age. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The rear privacy glass looks great. The alloy wheels show well. The tires are nearing the end of their life and should be replaced soon. The front right tire is worn noticeably more than the other three. Please take your time and check out each of the photos to see how uncommonly clean this Jeep is. This Jeep is cleaner than most I see with half the miles. I would rate the interior of this Jeep Grand Cherokee to also be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout the inside of this Jeep. The carpets show well for their age. The inserts on the door panels are curling a bit from age...which is common. The door panels themselves are clean and tight. The headliner looks excellent and shows almost no sag at all. There is some wear visible on the drivers seat which is to be expected with the miles. All seats are soft and comfortable. The dash shows well. The wood trim is clean and intact. The power windows and locks appear to be working properly. The climate control system is fully automatic and also appears to be working properly. The original radio has been upgraded to an aftermarket CD player which plays through the original Infinity Gold Premium Audio system...which still sounds great, too. The cargo area is spacious and clean. Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L inline six cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any noticeable leaks and the engine does not smoke. The front suspension has some play from worn bushings...as you'd expect with the miles (which is probably the cause of the worn RF tire). As is the case with worn bushings, the steering also has some play. I can hear something loose and making some noise (presumably in the exhaust or suspension) in the back of the vehicle when it goes over bumps but don't know exactly what it is. The brakes stop this Jeep with no issues. The engine makes great power and runs strong. She keeps excellent, excellent oil pressure and perfect temperature at all times. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts normally. Out on the highway, she drives pretty well. The Select-Trac 4WD system is tested and working properly. The Select-Trac is a part time system that allows you to drive in 2WD for normal driving situations and 4WD with the pull of a lever for slippery conditions. Most Grand Cherokee Limited's (all V8 Grand Cherokees) come with Quadra-Trac full time 4WD. The downside to Quadra-Trac is that there is no center differential so it binds up in tight corners...such as every parking lot (not to mention the extra fuel used by being in 4WD all the time). Don't get me wrong, Quadra-Trac isn't terrible...but I'd take Select-Trac any day, given the choice. You'll have to spend a few bucks on new tires and front bushings...but a Jeep with a body like this and such good oil pressure (active needle movement is so, so important to these engines lasting) is worth putting a few bucks into. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This Grand Cherokee has the Limited trim package which is the highest options package available (except for a few special edition models offered here and there). This Jeep has a very desirable group of options that are rather hard to find all together. In addition to being a Grand Cherokee Limited, this Grand Cherokee has the desirable 4.0L inline six cylinder engine...which is not very common as most Grand Cherokee Limited's had the 5.2L V8. Even more uncommon is that this Grand Cherokee Limited has the 4.0L engine AND the Select-Trac part time 4WD transfer case which is far more desirable than the Quadra-Trac full time 4WD transfer case which came with most Grand Cherokee Limiteds. I would rate the exterior of this Jeep to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. As you can see, this is a great looking Jeep. It is finished in Plum with gold accents and tan interior which is a gorgeous color combination. From the second you see this Jeep, it is obvious that her previous owners took great care of her. The deep Plum finish looks great and has a mile deep shine all around. Aside from a few blemishes on the bumpers, there is really nothing bad to say about this Jeep's exterior...considering the miles. There is some visible rust at the bottom of the tail gate which is common as these vehicles age. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The rear privacy glass looks great. The alloy wheels show well. The tires are nearing the end of their life and should be replaced soon. The front right tire is worn noticeably more than the other three. Please take your time and check out each of the photos to see how uncommonly clean this Jeep is. This Jeep is cleaner than most I see with half the miles.
I would rate the interior of this Jeep Grand Cherokee to also be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout the inside of this Jeep. The carpets show well for their age. The inserts on the door panels are curling a bit from age...which is common. The door panels themselves are clean and tight. The headliner looks excellent and shows almost no sag at all. There is some wear visible on the drivers seat which is to be expected with the miles. All seats are soft and comfortable. The dash shows well. The wood trim is clean and intact. The power windows and locks appear to be working properly. The climate control system is fully automatic and also appears to be working properly. The original radio has been upgraded to an aftermarket CD player which plays through the original Infinity Gold Premium Audio system...which still sounds great, too. The cargo area is spacious and clean.
Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L inline six cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not see any noticeable leaks and the engine does not smoke. The front suspension has some play from worn bushings...as you'd expect with the miles (which is probably the cause of the worn RF tire). As is the case with worn bushings, the steering also has some play. I can hear something loose and making some noise (presumably in the exhaust or suspension) in the back of the vehicle when it goes over bumps but don't know exactly what it is. The brakes stop this Jeep with no issues. The engine makes great power and runs strong. She keeps excellent, excellent oil pressure and perfect temperature at all times. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts normally. Out on the highway, she drives pretty well. The Select-Trac 4WD system is tested and working properly. The Select-Trac is a part time system that allows you to drive in 2WD for normal driving situations and 4WD with the pull of a lever for slippery conditions. Most Grand Cherokee Limited's (all V8 Grand Cherokees) come with Quadra-Trac full time 4WD. The downside to Quadra-Trac is that there is no center differential so it binds up in tight corners...such as every parking lot (not to mention the extra fuel used by being in 4WD all the time). Don't get me wrong, Quadra-Trac isn't terrible...but I'd take Select-Trac any day, given the choice. You'll have to spend a few bucks on new tires and front bushings...but a Jeep with a body like this and such good oil pressure (active needle movement is so, so important to these engines lasting) is worth putting a few bucks into. Winning Bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us via eBay Message within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. Please do not leave a voicemail on the office phone.
Full payment is due within 7 day of the auction's end. The prefferred method is to bring cash in person to complete the sale. If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will be having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.
PayPal is not an accepted payment method. This includes Bill Me Later.
We cannot accept credit cards or personal checks.
Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.
For out-of-state buyer we can issue a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $39 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance.

We try to provide as thorough and accurate a description as possible as well as including 40-60 photos. Understand however, that we are not professional mechanics and cannot predict the future.
There is additional risk in purchasing a vehicle this way versus buying a vehicle from a retail dealership that has been fully serviced and has a warranty. You will pay considerably less this way, but understand our vehicles are sold AS-IS and do not carry any sort of warranty.
