Up for auction is a solid 1968 GMC 2wd camper special. The truck runs strong! It has a 427 engine with a steel crank and 4 bolt main, NEW turbo 400 trans, NEW tires, NEW dual exhaust, NEW starter. I also had a shop install a NEW class A hitch with an electric brake controller. Truck has I purchased the truck out of Montana from a body shop owner. He advised me that the truck had two owners its entire life and they were neighbors. The first owner had a camper in it and used it for camping only. When he passed away the truck sat for years until the family finally sold it to the next door neighbor. He only used it for camping. He hated the Salmon color, so he HAND painted it white! It's clear he was not a paint specialist!!! When he passed away, the family sold the truck to the man I got it from. The true miles are unknown, but the shop owner I got it from said the miles on it were original at 18,500. The miles now read 23,135. This truck is very solid, runs well but could use a little TLC: some dents, some minor surface rust, a bad paint job, cracked windshield, and no tailgate.
