Up for auction is a 1971 Buick Centurion Convertible. It was purchased a few months ago in order to be restored for my father who had one brand new. Unfortunately, due to serious health problems, I am forced to sell this car which I believe is a great candidate for a full restoration or with a few repairs would be a terrific driver. It is fully loaded, even according to today's standards. I mentioned all the options above. I had my mechanic check the car out and all the mechanicals are in good condition. What the car needs is a set of shocks, sway bar end links, a good tune-up (which I will do if the "Buy It Now" option is used). I also will throw in a brand new set of AC Delco front shocks and springs (with "Buy It Now"). The seats have no rips, as well as the door panels, they just need a cleaning. The dashboard has no cracks or holes to speak of. The tires are in good condition and have about 65% tread left. All the gauges work as well as the lights. The paint shines beautifully but does have that one dime-sized chip on the top of the driver's side fender. It has no dents or scratches otherwise. In closing, this is a great classic convertible. The only rust on this on is underneath the battery which happens to 99.9% of cars of this vintage. Just to give you an idea of how rust free this car is, i lifted the original sound deadening in the trunk and it is rock solid! So is the floor pans which is unheard of for a 41 year old convertible!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Car is Solid as a Rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
