This hard to find original owner, California 1971 TR6 - rust free with only 46,000 miles. This was my honeymoon car with lots of great memories and much T L C. Time to pass along this great roadster to the next generation of enthusiasts. Awarded Best British Car at the 1977 Sports Car Olympics Always garaged & covered, it was given a makeover in 1983 with a quality paint job (matching the rare, original Sienna color). While in the paint shop, modifications were made following British Leyland's performance manual to the heads and a street performance cam was added along with a low flow exhaust system. Although never checked, I estimate this resulted in a 15% increase of factory horsepower ~120 bhp. Koni shocks were added to the front as well as adding a rear sway bar and also a rollbar. A spin-on oil filter was a great improvement for those DIY oil changes. AR wheels were added to make this car exceptionally well handling. All original parts/wheels have been saved and will be included with your purchase. The interior shows no sign of age or cracking. The top is seldom in the up position due to the fact, the car is never driven in the rain plus I like the wind in my hair. It's tonneau cover is usually in place when parked in the sun. The gauges are surrounded by the original wood featured dash. Doors, locks and windows are in fine working order along with the brakes, transmission & clutch. You will find the VIN matches the factory trim.
