My mother bought this vehicle new in 1997 and sold it to me with about 8,000 miles on it as my father got sick and she didn't need the extra car. I sold it to my in-laws soon after as they needed a vehicle and it was a spare for me. The in-laws had it in they're family until I got it back from them August of 2012. They maintained it very well and regularly. Just before I got it they replaced the back tires and the brakes. Then almost immediately after that the struts went and they thought the mechanic should have seen this coming and with frustration sold it to me reasonably. They had some receipts but none recent that showed clutch repair and replacement regularly (I think my brother in-law was not too easy on it) but it was well maintained and the clutch is very sound now. As I stated the rear tires have very little wear on them. The little rubber stubs that are on the exterior of new tires are still present. I have since put about 3,000 miles on it as it is an extra car for me. The gas mileage is great, at least 35 mpg. I have a Scion XB and it's better mileage then that. It ran great for me except for the noticeable struts that need replacement. Just recently as I was deciding if I want to pay another years worth of insurance on it did it start to lose idle speed after it warmed up. I haven't taken it out for a ride with this issue so I don't know how it reacts on the road. The front tires aren't as new as the back, but are in good shape. There are a couple of dings on the body and a reverse dent in the hood. I recall trying to close the hood when I first got the car from my mother with the hood support in place and as a result it put a little bend in the hood at the point of the hood support. There is also a little paint bubbling from I think a little rust about an inch wide and a 1/2 inch high at the point of the hood where the hood release arm is attached underneath. Other then that the bodies in very good condition. I have the original dealers window sticker and packet with owners manual. I have all other defects listed above. Please view all the pictures.
