Vehicle Detail

THIS CAR RUNS AND LOT DRIVES. Well I am selling my 1970 Roadrunner, I don't have anywhere to work on her so she is sitting in the storage unit.I started working on her about 4 years ago, since that day I bought her, she has never been outside nor seen any type of weather minus the 105 degree day I drove her a block down the road and put her in storage.I will put pictures up showing condition I bought the car in and condition it is in now. the only things missing from when i bought it is the buick bucket seats that were in it and the front windshield, both had to go. I found an original Roadrunner bench seat which is correct for this car, and by original i mean it shows alot of wear and tear. I will begin my description from the driver side fender and move around the front to the passenger fender until i am back to the drivers fender again. D. Fender is going to need a small rust repair down towards the bottom were it contacts the rocker, also the front of the fender were the chrome clips on to it is going to need some hammer and dolly work.Minor dings and scratches also, majority of those will come out with refinishing. ( Sanding, Primer, Glaze, Paint, ETC...) Grille, Hood, Engine, Bumper- The grille is 98%, all the letters, louvers, clips, the grille to my surprise is in awesome condition, the only pieces gone from the grille is the little pieces of chrome that surround the headlights, thats why i gave it a 98%. Headlights are all there with chrome around them. The hood I'm going to say should be replaced, there are dings and hail dents on it from ages ago and the hood pin holes (not my doing) were put in the incorrect spot, instead of drilling them into the thick sturdy pieces provided they drilled straight down into the radiator support, Not very smart if you ask me. The hood does still have the 383 tag in the cowl. The engine is a 383 that runs very strong, could use a Carb tune up. It is NOT the original motor from what i was told by the previous owner, but he did put a different 383 from another 1970 roadrunner that he had sitting around. Thing runs great i fired it up at least once a month to circulate fluids. Bumper should be replaced, has a spot in it were it looks like it was hooked up to with a chain and pulled.... again not cool. The lenses in the bumper are all good. P. fender- Same story as the drivers side fender. A little rust at the bottom dents and dings here and there. Original Pentastar is on the bottom of this one though. P.Door- New skin in the box. All glass and chrome is original on the door, had some lower rust and outward dents that i didnt want to mess with, new metal looks alot straighter! P. Quarter- This is were I left off, the quarter is not on the car, the old one is gone but i do have the vent louver. new one is in the box, the inner i treated for surface rust with rustmort and wirebrushed it all out, and coated it all with rubberized undercoating. It will need a trunk drip rail, that piece is about 50% gone. Other than that the new one is ready to rock n roll! The wing glass is good and all there. Tail light Panel- everything here looks good, there are 2 minor dents, easy fix, has both complete tail lights and all the emblems. bumper could use a refinish. Trunk lid is pretty sweet shaped has minor hail dents and a dent on the back part above the lock and a little to the left. Again very minor. D. Quarter- This quarter is all new and done, could probably use a little glaze where the quarter meets the roof, to get rid of some of the sanding scratches.Inside has been treated with rustmort and rubberized undercoating. Wing glass all there and in working condition. D. Door- The skin has been removed, and the inner door is also sprayed with rubberized undercoating. New skin is in the box. All Glass is there. Roof- Currently in etch primer, while i was waiting on my metal i started on the roof fixing the hail dings, but the entire roof has been coated in etch and sealed. REAR GLASS- Believe it or not this piece is the ORIGINAL one, awesome shape and was the first thing i took off the car, since a new one is in the $1800 range. Rims- All original same color as the car steelies with poverty hub caps that are all in great shape. Interior- 95% rust free, the only real problematic rust i found is on the drivers side floor pan were your heals set, one hole below the gas pedal and one just left of the brake pedal. Has all the headliner rods, dash gauges, sidepanels, back seat and front seat, the only thing not in it is carpet. One of the big reasons i bought it years ago, MINIMAL SURFACE TO NO RUST in the floor pans and TRUNK pan. I think i covered every aspect of the car that i could think of, feel free to ask me questions. I'm taking a loss selling this car, but i don't have the time for her anymore and id love to see her in good hands on the road. Local pickup will be best. I',m asking $7,000 for her. Thank you for looking and i'll do my best getting the best pictures up for you.
