Up for sale is the best, low mile, rare optioned 1978 Trans Am available anywhere. Here's what you are bidding on: This is an undamaged and no rust (ever), all original engine, transmission, rear end, interior, body panels, glass, trim, wheels, etc, etc 16k mile car that has just been treated to a 100 point rotisserie restoration that was unneeded except for my compulsion for perfection. Soda blasted as there was never any rust, the underside was then treated to red oxide primer perfectly matched from what was found behind the fender near the fire wall; the body and panels were treated to a show quality repaint in the original color platinum. The original shaker was painted and decaled, but the car has a reproduction functional shaker in place (original comes with the car). The engine was stripped of paint, seals replaced and repainted in the correct color. The suspension components were removed, stripped of paint and repainted and new polygraphite suspension components were installed. Expensive Koni Classic shocks were used but the original shocks come with the car. The car had new stainless steel brake and fuel lines installed, but the original ones are still perfect and come with the car. New gas tank installed for safety purposes. Ram Air III exhaust manifolds from Ram Air Restorations, but the original manifolds come with the car. Ram Air Restorations exhaust with the original splitter tips re-chromed installed. The original wheels were cleaned and did not need refinishing. I have the original tires with 16k miles, but belts were separated so reproductions were installed. The car is very rarely optioned with platinum paint, WS6, W72, 4-Speed, 3.42 posi rear end. No air, cruise, tilt, or power options, radio delete (radio accommodation package) but it does have exterior trim. The interior is all original and shows no sign or wear, only the fuel gauge was replaced. The car is well documented, including the miles.
