Vehicle Detail

If you're shopping for a 1958 Jeep Willys Foward Control 170 then you already know more about this truck than I do. I bought it because it's super cool and I love unique vehicles. I've never seen one before. Bid according to the photos, and please ask me questions. I'll try to answer them as best as I can givin how little I know about 1958 Jeeps. I just know it's fun to drive! OK, it starts on the first try every time. It's surprisingly quiet at idle. I just spent $1000 making it a daily driver. That included a new water pump, new radiator and hoses, rebuilt carb, new belt, new plugs, wires and dist cap. It's still a 60 year old Chrysler 3.7L Ironhead, so it's got leaks in the water jacket and a knock in the bottom end. The knock comes in as the motor heats up and goes away under throttle and at idle. I don't know what that means. All I can tell you is that if your cruising along at 30 mph without giving it gas you'll hear it, but when you accelerate it goes away. It's a 6 speed trans and 4x4 with locking front hubs. 3 low gears and 3 high gears. I never use the 3 lower gears, it's geared so low that they are useless unless you're trying to pull out a tree stump or maybe trying to climb a vertical wall. Don't ask me if it's got Dayna whatevers... I don't know what that means, but it's a question people love to ask. It's got power nothing. All of the lights work as well as the turn signals! It's got a clean title and current tags. All I can tell you is it's super fun to drive to car shows, and everyone takes pictures but I want a more practical old truck. Something I could venture out onto the highway with! This auction is subject to early end because I have it listed locally. Also, I'm open for trade offers. Just send me a picture. Buyer is responsible for pick up or delivery. $1000 deposit via Paypal is required with in 72 hours of end of auction. Don't ask me what the reserve is, it's more than $4000 and less than $10,000. azmousejockey Store
