1987 BUICK PARK AVENUE 3800 series V6 $2k in new parts NO RESERVE GREAT PROJECT CAR or PARTS CAR BONANZA! History: Bought new by relative who owned the car for most of it's approximately 89K miles. Driven sparingly and garaged most of it's miles. Car acquired by father who bought new tires and drove it on one long distance trip (500 miles up to Wisconsin) with absolutely no problems. I was in the market for a car and subsequently bought it and drove about 500 more miles, at which point it began showing increased transmission slippage. Car sat for a period and was subsequently tuned up and revamped - fuel system, brake system, cooling system all received a complete overhaul along with a major tune-up. Brake system included all new brake lines (yep, front to back), new calipers, rebuilt drums on rear with new cylynders, shoes etc., new rotors (not installed), new Master cylinder, new pads, etc. Fuel system included all new lines, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, etc. Cooling system was fully revamped with an extensive flushing of the radiator (no leaks), all new hoses and water pump. The tune up included a new starter, new alternator, plugs, wires, filters, etc. Recently, a ton of new parts were added to the car, including but definitely not limited to multiple sensors - Mass Air Flow sensor, Cam sensor, Crank position sensor, Oxygen sensor, Electronic Control Module, Ignition control module,plus others....Transmission was addressed with a new trans filter and new transmission hoses. THE GOOD SUPER SMOOTH RIDING LUXURY - COMFY SEATS AND SMOOTHER RIDE THAN MOST NEW CARS!!! Approximately $2K in NEW PARTS were added to the car - that does NOT include labor!!!The velvety Blue Velour interior is super lush and comfortable and presents almost like new -9/10Tires are low mileage (under 1000 miles) to wheels with the lockable wire wheel covers that show close to new.Body is in good condition - a solid 10 footer, no extensive damage, just minor nicks would rate at 7/10 THE BAD Transmission needs a rebuild - most likely just the clutch packs - estimates ran from $575-1000 to do the job. It may be driveable, but must be towed away- no exceptions!!! The engine now runs intermittently. Currently appears not to have fuel going to it. Ran great after MAF sensor was replaced, now no fuel getting to engine....probably relay switch...... Probably needs the heater core replaced, too. THE UGLYSince it's an '80s/'90s GM product, the clear coat did not want to stay on the roof or trunk. It looks fine when it's wet, but the clear coat has evaporated off the top side of the car. Troublesome teenage neighbor took a pellet gun to the windshield at point blank range, creating a nick that has since developed into a foot long horizontal crack in the windshield. NOTE: photo of engine was taken prior to much of the tune up and replacement parts. TERMS: The car is being sold as is, with no warranty whatsoever. Car must be removed within 3 business days of end of auction. Buyer may either pay in full or minimally provide a $150 non-refundable deposit upon end of auction via Paypal.
