1989 Jaguar XJS Collection ROUGE This RARE COLLECTORS CAR ONLY has 47,056 ORIGINAL MILES! From my research this car is... Considered "ONE OF THE RAREST OF THE RARE JAGUARS"AND"THERE IS ONLY 8 LEFT IN KNOWN EXISTENCE" The Original Sticker Price of the Collection Rouge was around $100,000 back in 1989. In February 1989 the Collection Rouge was Awarded the Title of "Worlds Fastest Production Car"! Collection Rouge was only made in 1989 and 1990. These cars have similarities, but some of the major differences. The 1989 has the Automatic Seatbelt. (I think it is a very cool feature). 1990 the standard drivers side air bag was required which made the steering column smaller and did not enable the car to have the radar detector on the steering column. (also a very cool feature) !989 body style varied slightly from the standard 1989 XJS, it had a slightly more sleeker look. The 1990 was the same body style as the standard model except with some added bells and whistles. This was also reflected in the starting prices of about $15,000 less than the 1989 model. From what I could gather The number of 1989 Collection Rouge made between 1988 and 1989 where approximately349 total world wide! (As we know the new year model starts in the year before. For example the 2014 model years are already selling.) This is a Very RARE Nice and Smooth Driving Car that Handles Extremely Well with POWER! PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES TO DETERMINE THE CONDITION OF THE CAR. The car is in excellent condition for turning 25 (VINTAGE) in 2014. *The car starts and drives well.*I had all the hoses replaced. *The Air Condition was replaced and upgraded (The A/C blow COLD!!!) (The original interior of this car is excellent shape especially for 25 years old.), the leather seats are excellent condition, the carpet is in great shape, no cracks in the dash. To the best of my knowledge: *All Original Interior except one piece of wood. *All electrical is working except the RADAR DETECTOR on the Steering Wheel.
