1959 Corvette Roadster, silver with red coves, V8 automatic, powerglide transmission. The engine might be the original but the engine pad is too worn out to tell, and it is near difficult to read the numbers. I can't decode the back casting because the automatic powerglide linkage covers the casting numbers. It looks completely original, right down to the chrome shielding and clamps on the hoses. The carburator was rebuilt, the engine is very healthy. Not a fast car, but a nice cruiser. Transmission shifts fine. One of the U-joints might be going bad, easy fix. Nothing that needs immediate attention. The brakes are fine, could be bled to stop better, or convert it to disc brakes. It still has the generator on the car, newer battery. The tach doesn't work, needs a cable, and the miles don't register. All the other gauges seem to work fine. The aftermarket radio has an I-pod set up. These are nice set ups, I installed this same radio in my 65 corvette 4 years ago. The frame is rock solid, the underside is clean and straight. There is evidence of a minor collision in the front of the car, but it has been fixed with minor blemishes/indications that it was hit, probably many years ago. I believe the original color on the car was red. Lots of promising evidence in the door jams with red nics. It has a healthy rumble, and it is a very nice driver, I drove it around all day with no problems. Lights work, heat works, doors shut tight. The soft top is older and has very minor tears, about 3 of them myabe 1/2 inch tears. Spare tire, jack, trunk mat all included. The interior is original, carpet is worn, dash shrunk a little bit by the windshield from the sun, very common. Small star in windshield, two front tires need to be changed, chrome is nice all they way around the car. If you are looking for a show car, this isn't the one. This is a very nice original car great for cruise nights, without worrying about where you park your car. Very minor imperfections in the body, some nics and chips here and there. Nothing that needs to be fixed, just regular use for an older paint job. It might be a numbers matching car, but I don't know.
