The last of BMW's air-cooled "go-anywhere, do-anything" motorcycle. It'll take you to any remote destination, or for the occasional ride around town. Rather low mileage; you can tell that it's a bike to be ridden, but it certainly hasn't been abused. Maintenance done this season includes:-Carb clean and adjustment-Valves adjusted-Oil and filter change-New tires (Avon Gripster)-New clutch and throttle cables-New battery Defects:-Exhaust leak (shown in pictures; Stainless exhaust, so it's not rusted. Needs a new header to collector box gasket. PN: 18212331955, $10)-Tears in seat cover (shown in pictures; replacing is simple and rather inexpensive)-Missing centerstand (It was missing when I got the bike)-Usual cracks in luggage (shown in pictures; I drilled out the ends to prevent the cracks from spreading and sealed with Gorilla Tape from the inside) Everything works as it should (latches, keys, switches, instrumentation), includes tool-kit. Starts right up, even in this chilly November Chicago weather. I actually prefer it to the GSPD or newer oilheads, as the size of this bike seems much more manageable. I've decided to quit while I'm ahead and cut my losses; otherwise it's a phenomenal motorcycle. Sold AS-IS, no warranty. I am NOT responsible for shipping.
